No. He's a gullible fraud when he writes about the supernatural and an affected stuffy old Englishman when he writes about literature. I've only read his non-fiction but I think the fact that I've never seen his fiction in any store or library, and can't name a single fictional work of his, attests to the fact that none of it was memorable.
