I don't know why I do stuff like this, I become curious and then I have to know and then I gather data and compile it and ...and... I can't make my brain stop.
Oh, and I am only listing my stories that exceeded 1,000 views. I have others out there too.

Crimson and Humane rating out of ALL threads in Literature Forum
I decided to post the statistics comparing most viewed stats not just for stories, but out of all threads here in the Literature forum. Crimson's Shadow Realm places 13th out of every thread here! You don't see me until 31st place ( Town and Turret), but then I was pleasantly surprised to see I had 3 stories place in the top 40:

So now Shadow Realm has moved to 12th place as the most viewed thread of all time in Literature, and Town and Turret has moved to 17th place. Not a bad showing!

Well! A significant event happened today for me: my story Town and Turret has now surpassed Crimson's Shadow Realm as the 13th place most viewed thread in the Literature forum! I never expected to see that happen. Shadow Realm has dropped to 14th place.

Town and Turret is now only 800 views away from cracking the Top Ten of All Time threads in Gnet's Literature forum! Maybe this year, just maybe.

Uh...yeah. I even wrote "THE END" at the...uh...end.
Perhaps you meant the sequel? Never started yet. Maybe I will when I am off work for two weeks at Christmas.

HP, forgive me for being too lazy to look myself but do you have fiction published anywhere else besides Gnet? Books? Magazines? Other websites?

No problem: look towards the bottom here:
http://angst-zine.com/archives/category/literature
"When Bats Sleep" chapters 1 and 2. Chapters 1 through 7 may be read here:
https://www.gothic.net/boards/showthread.php?t=3414
I am published on fictionpress dot com and fanfiction dot net but those places do not seem to be held in high regard around here, but I need to clean them up anyway. Put in final chapters, reorganize the chapter layouts etc.

Yeah, I'm not big on those places either actually. They're not highly regarded because just about anyone who can type can post there. You can post good work there and I don't deny that they always have a couple of good writers but they just aren't the venue for anyone who wants to be a professional writer. The problem is that if you post your good stuff there no publisher will want it later because no publisher will want to publish something that people can already get online for free, and if you post bad stuff there it doesn't showcase how good of a writer you can be when you write the good stuff anyway so it's not an accurate reflection of your best work. I've heard it argued that they are good places to be "discovered" but I can't image that either. Editors and agents don't really have free time to surf sites like that to look for new writers. When they have free time to look for a new discovery they use it to sift through the slush pile they've already accumulated in their office.
I'm busy on some other reading but will check out more of your writing this week since my weekend is about to start. Thanks for the links.

OK...just read that entire thread at
https://www.gothic.net/boards/showthread.php?t=3414
IMO, it was excellent, with all the traits of a gothic story done right. I see it's been a while since you updated it tho. I'll be looking forward to reading the rest. Do you have a plot outlined for it or is it just off the top of your head?

Off the top of my head, with a few concepts woven together.
Mainly, sweetheart love set against creepy background. My readers seem to like it that way.
The stories that I have started where I do have plots don't seem to hang onto the readers well. My more popular stories seem to be the ones I just whip out.
But thanks for taking the time to read it. It is one of my favorites.

Now that I think of it you might like this site HP.
http://paranormalromance.org/Paranormalromance.htm
I spoke with one of the staff there a while back and she wanted me to join but I never got much into it at the time. I've been meaning to go back but I've been really busy with other writing ideas. It might be your thing tho.

Today (with much prodding as well as acclaim) my story Town and Turret cracked the Top Ten most viewed stories of all time in the history of Gnet.
I am quite jazzed.

Good literature is usually the least well recognized, same with good people. Psychopaths are the ones with power, retards are popular, so it would make sense, though I'm too lazy to really give a fuck what you're talking about....duuuuuh.

Just thought I would brag a little more: Town and Turret is now the 7th most read thread of all time in Gothic.net's Literature Forum, and is incrementing such that it will reach 6th place by the end of the summer.

I would just like to point out you now have 6666 posts.
Woo for spookyness and woo for Town & Turret heading towards number 6.
I wonder which is number one?

I kinda hope we summon CCT back just because of this thread.

She does lurk now and then, but at the moment she is madly in love with her boyfriend and is a little preoccupied.
I can post a recent picture of her, she has grown to be quite pretty.

I'm sure I would remember something like that happening.
References, Ophelia?
