Batman: Arkham Asylum

Batman: Arkham Asylum is thus far churning out quite a bit of interesting press. This game is based soley on the comic books, though it will be featuring the voice actors from the animated series Kevin Conroy(Batman/Bruce Wayne), Mark Hamile(THE Joker), and Arleen Sorkin(Harley Quinn).

Now Batman may be the star of the show, and the Joker may be closer to the Batman than the boy blunder will ever be, but it's impossible not to have a place in your heart for the always sweet Harley Quinn, and in this game she gets a makeover. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UbXaTAEqs_g

I think I might get the game simply because of that.

Wow, a new Batman game, looks quite interesting.

I've always been a big fan of the Batman franchise and most of the previous games were quite a lot of fun. But what interests me the most is that it's being made by Eidos.(I'm kind of hoping for a Hitman, Legacy of Kain mixture.)

Any idea when it'll hit the shelves, or what platform it'll be?

I love Harley, but I like her original costume much better. Didn't show much flesh but was tight fitting and made her seem more slinky. This costume, while not bad is kinda obviously trying to make her the video game's obligatory scantily clad female. Wonder what they'll do with Poison Ivy.

I suppose sadly Catwoman won't be in this game, as she has never been an Arkham inmate.

I'm afraid thus far no pictures of Poison Ivy in the game have been released to my knowledge.

I'm ecstatic about this game, and from what I've seen of the trailers the game looks like it's going to be an awesome action-adventure title.

And the fact Harley Quinn is in it is total win for me. I love her makeover.

Oh man, I saw the trailers for this game playing in EB games when I was shopping for used PS2 games, it looked epic. But I'll have to settle for Sin Tzu at the moment.

BEST GAME EVER!

Got it two days ago when it was released, I'm already 70% finished. That being said I have been putting in 10 hours a day with little sleep.

I was so afraid they would fuck up with Poison Ivy but this is the fiercest she's been since the Animated Adventures! (nothing can ever beat that design). Poor Harley Quinn though, they really screwed her over. Why did she have to get stuck with the same old blonde schtick? And to give her goons instead of fighting her straight up on top of that? Ouch. At least she had her original voice actress, Ivy got some series cuts as far as voice/script.

Okay so if you look on youtube, Ivy kinda got fucked over in the contract, too. At least her trailer is awesome

This is a great game and highly recommend it. Some parts are even outright creepy (aka Scarecrow sequences). Lots of exploration, secrets and stuff. Go get it!
