I keep hoping that the Tea Party will be the divisive Green Party or Libertarian Party equivalent for the Republicans! SPLIT THE GOP VOTE! YEAH!

HOLY SHIT bitch admitted she "dabbled in witchcraft" and had a date "on a bloody satanic altar"
THIS IS THE REPUBLICAN NOMINEE.
I'm wondering if Vindicatedxjin should have run on the Tea-Party/Republican ticket. She could be on national television right now defending her Salvia use and talking about her past lives.

It's funny actually. Like Frankensteins monster.
It can only end one of two ways - tea party candidates fall in line with the other repubs, and lose popular support as they will appear to be giving in.
OR
They continue their antics in Congress and screw up the repubs.
Either way it looks to be interesting.
I mean, who are they going to caucus with? If they are really anti-establishment and all...

At the time, O'Donnell was described as "director of communications for the Intercollegiate Studies Institute." She spoke about how Tolkien properly wrote about the importance of "you know, the role of supporting your man," but the movie version rejected this feminine portrayal because the "softer side was offensive to women."

Well, I'm glad Palin can't pretend that these MAMA GRIZZLIES are feminists. Or at least she'll look even sillier than that time she said feminist should be pro life.

There are really only 3 major female characters in LOTR.
You've got Galadriel, who fufills the classic seeress archetype (and is the leader of an entire friggin' FOREST of elves). Her husband doesn't even say anything if I remember correctly.
Then You've got Eowyn, who defies her father, pretends to be a soldier, and FRIGGIN KILLS THE KING OF THE NAZGUL.\]
That's all in the books, that's cannon.
I assume she's talking about the only other female, which is Arwen who was given a larger role, where she actually fought people in the movie, but she wasn't changed to make her more acceptable to feminists, she was changed to allow for a more centralized love story.
What a stupid bitch.

Not to mention Arwen didn't agree to marry Aragorn until he became king. She was slightly supportive, she did promise she'd wait and she sent her brothers to give him a fucking piece of cloth, but it was still a "but only if you become king!" deal. She's merely his motivation.
And apparently Eowyn was originally going to be Aragorn's love interest, but Tolkien thought she could do better. Ha!

Hey, if you believe Douglas Adams, aren't mice the most intelligent species on Planet Earth? I really can't say I disagree.

I still don't care. Most people want tax cuts. It's just like in Scary Movie. Reporters look for the most incompetent person to interview.

The "supporting your man" argument doesn't really hold water anyway. After Aragorn dies, Arwen goes mad with despair, disappears into the forest, and cries for all eternity or some such thing...
It's not like "supporting her man" worked out well for her in the long run.

I think she mourned for a year then she just died.
Being an elf I do believe that means she just gets reincarnated across the Sea. Not totally sure about that though, even I can't pretend that the Silmarillion was a fast paced, memorable work.

She gave up her life a year after Aragorn died.

I bet it's faster than Moby Dick... (not that I managed to read the entire thing).
