Hi everyone! I'm Anesthesia
He guys, how are you doing? There's something I would like to say before I start to introduce myself. You'll see, I'm a Spanish girl (who wishes she lived somewhere less traditional and old-fashioned) and English is not my first language, I hope you understand. So please forgive me when I make mistakes and feel free to correct me, is that ok?
1. What do you do? (Hobbies, job)
I love reading and writing more than anything in the world. I used to like painting and drawing too but I gave up because I sucked >.<. I also like crafts and make-up (I think make-up is a type of art)
2. Where are you from?
I was born in a town in the South of Spain. You know, lot of sunlight. Far too much for my pale gothic skin (I'm just kidding)
3. Who is your favorite author?
My favourite author is not a world-wide known author because she's an online writer. I mean, she publishes her own writing in fictionpress.com (she has taken them down, unfortunatel...) and she writes the most amazing stories I've ever read by anybody.
4. What are your favorite films?
Moulin Rouge, yeah, go ahead and make fun of me XD I just love that movie, I can't help it.
5. What music do you want played at your wedding?
I'm quite oppossed to weddings and marriage, so I haven't thought of that >.<
6. At your funeral?
Dig up her bones by The Misftits
7. This IS a gothic website, so... how do you want to die?
This may be a gothic website but I'm not much of a masochistic, and even if I love the topic of death in art and literature, I DON'T want to die. The thought of dying terrifies me. But I would "like" to die fast without pain, please.
8. What kind of casket would you want?
I want to be cremated. But If I had to choose a coffin I would choose a gloss black one without any religious symbols.
9. What's your FAVORITE outfit?
I love clothes way too much, I can't choose one favorite outfit. But I LOVE ripped tights, skirts and gothic boots.
10. What's one thing you miss about being a little kid?
Everything single detail fascinated me. And I miss playing with my dolls for hours.
11. What's your favorite band?
Placebo. Yeah, I know it's not gothic but I love it anyways. I have other likes outside goth.
12. What kind of education do you have? What is/was/will be your major?
I don't think I understand the meaning of the word "major" very well in this context, but I'm studying an English degree and I hope to become a literature translater.
13. Why did you join?
I joined because sadly there are no goths in my town, I don't have any gothic friends and I never get the chance to talk about "gothic" stuff with anybody except my mom. So I hope I find interesting people here
14. If the first 13 questions didn't give it away. What is your gender?
I'm a girl!

Your major is you main focus in university. Also, Graves-era Misfits are ppretty awesome. Danzig-era was better, of course, but both are so much better than they are now. Welcome to g-net

Welcome, I think I like you. Maybe.
I have to deal with being the only goth (and any subculture relatively close to being such) in my town as well.

Anethesia, your introduction was like a breath of fresh air after a couple days in a moldy basement apartment.
I too am a fan of Moulin Rouge, I could watch that movie a 100 times over for every time I've already watched it so far.
Welcome to gnet, I look forward to reading your contributions.

Ok wow, thank you so so much, you're all so friendly, I wasn't expecting so much friendliness! I'm not used to nice goths, the few goths that I know are very mean and unfriendly, they look at you over their shoulder. I personally I'm a pretty friendly goth... (I don't like calling myself a "goth" but it's easier and quicker than explaining that there's a really high "percentage" of "goth" in me as well as punk, psychobilly... you know what I mean?)
You've made me really happy, I think I'm going to enjoy this forum :_D
Murder.of.Crows I think we can understand each other very well then. There are no goths in my town (I've seen only a few true goths here in my whole life) and people are so so so narrow-minded and traditional. People look at you like you have three eyes, but in a bad way. I mean, when I see a goth I look at him/her too because I LIKE it, and I admire it. People here look at you like you're nuts. I suposse you guys know perfectly what I'm talking about. Anyway, I'm getting used to it
Thank you all for the nice comments, really, you've warmed my heart

Well, I think most other Goth's are opposed to each other mainly because it seems that at one point it was a trendy style. Thus, little teeny boppers claimed themselves into such, telling people they were more gawthic than anybody else because they know what true woe an misery was. Those whom were serious about the life style saw them as idiots, which they were, but none the less set a whole recluse issue from wanting to converse with any other "goth" types, being that they were most likely, said idiots. Then the emo trend came about, turning any reasonable nice "goth" into an asshole. At least this is all just assumption really, I have never met any other "goth" outside of this forum.

Why would you say that? I don't really think you would want to live in my town. Maybe in Spain, but not in my town... I wish I could move to the capital, at least

I think you are right. What I really don't like about all this issue is arguing with other goth's (or whatever) about what's being a true goth, and wether they are worth being called goths or not, or wether who's more gothic XD. I think it's stupid and useless. So when I see some 13-year-old girl calling herself a goth because she listens to Evanescence, wears black converse sneakers and her nickname is EmOo_GotHiCc_PriNcEsS_oOfF_DaRkNeSs, I roll my eyes and think "she'll grow up", I don't look at her over my shoulder, I just think it's funny and, maybe, kind of cute XD
Oh, the emo trend. I'd better not talk about it. Let's say I don't have very good opinions about it XD
I haven't met any other goth outside the internet, either

Well, nonetheless, it's very nice hair.
Sorry, I have this obsessive thing about redheads. Whenever I think there might be one nearby, I can't relax until I know for sure.

I have dark brown hair with reddish highlights under the sunlight.
