About me

Hi, I'm new around here. I call myself Stormswing, no particular reason, it's just a word that popped into my head one day.
I thought I should introduce myself before barging in on someone's thread, so...
(Clears throat)

1, I have no job right now - I was an upholsterer, but was laid-off. As for hobbies, I enjoy writing - novels, not poems - and drawing - though with more enthusiasm than skill - I also play chess, and computer games.

2, I live in a small village called Heath Hayes, in the Midlands, in England.

3, J.V.Jones and Robin Hobb are my favourite authors. I've read some Ann Rice novels in my time, but the only bok of hers I own is "Pandora". Hmmm, all my authors are women...interesting.

4, I'm not sure I have a favourite film. I liked "Event Horizon", "Alien", "Predator", and "Carrie 2"

5, I don't intend to get married. I think love shouldn't need a certificate.

6, What do I want played at my funeral? Funnily enough, someone asked me this a few years ago. I believe I said, Here to Stay by KoRN.

7, I don't particularly want to die...I surpose we all go in the end though. I'd like to die with a smile on my face. If i'm murdered, I'd like to take my killer with me.

8, I'd like a white-and-black marble casket...which would be more of a sarcophagus I surpose. I'd also like to be rich enough to afford a marble sarcophagus in the first place.

9, I don't have a favourite outfit as such. I wear lot's of black, chains, spiky stuff, and have a few interesting T-shirts.

10, What do I miss most about being a child? Naivety, Innocence, and Trust.

11, My favourite band is KoRN. Not strickly a goth band, I know, but...meh.

12, As far as education is concerned, I passed High School. I think I did well in Science and English, but failed miserably in PE.

13, I joined because I'm starved of intelligent conversation, and in my experience, goths are usually quite intelligent.

14, I'm a man.

Really? You don't seem gloomy.
I can't remember what my teachers called me, but I'm sure some of them had little names like that for me.

I'm not sure I even knew people died back then. But then again, I don't really remember.

My dad wouldn't let me go to funerals. I don't know which is worse: Taking a child to a funeral, and maybe scaring them for life, or not taking them, and not letting them say goodbye properly.

i would have to say not getting to say goodbye. worse by far. when my friend died, her parents held a "memorial service" and i am still having a hard time getting over that.

Oh, my condolences.
Someone I knew died a few years ago. It was pretty rough on everyone who knew him.

Thanks. The school built a climbing wall in his memory recently, which would have pleased him.
