Quake is fun. I have 2 and 4 for my XBOX 360 (2 came with 4 on a bonus disc. ), and 1 on the PC, though the soundtrack doesn't play for 1.

Too bad that 4 on xbox 360 is meant to have bugs from a bad attempt of transfering it to xbox 360 from pc.I love 4 multiplayer =D

I didn't see any bugs. Then again, I only played through once, and I haven't done multiplayer since I don't have the money to waste for XBOX Live. I also saw a review that complained about slow frame-rates in some areas with lots of enemies, but I didn't see any of that, either.

Maybe it also has to do with the type of XBOX 360? There's the regular one and the premium one. I don't know if the regular one has a weaker processor than the premium, but if it does, that may be the cause.

I think that the review would have been done on the expensive ones. (it was a gamespot review and i know they choose the best pcs for the job)

Really? That's where I got my review from, and I only remember them talking about slow frame-rates (as far as game-play goes). Unless that's the bug you were talking about.

I've played Quake 4 on meh new PC, played the original quake a few years ago on my ancient laptop but never went online with it. I like Unreal Tournament 2004 best, though all sci-fi FPS's have a place in my heart. :3

Have you played Prey? I only have the demo, but that's good enough. If you haven't played it, it has a really cool little feature... instant teleporters. Sure, it sounds like something we've already seen in Doom and Quake, but these are different. You can actually look through them into wherever they end up. And this leads to a nasty little trick. There's one that I found that the origin leads to right next to itself, at a 90 degree angle. And since my character was in shadow, when I looked through, I saw a shadow that I mistook for an enemy. Needless to say, I killed myself via sniper head-shot.[/color]

If you haven't tried Prey yet, you can download the demo here...

Click me!

(I don't know if the PC demo is different from the XBOX 360 demo.)

Is that anything like the teleporters from UT2004? Where you shoot the little gun and a disk flies out, and you can either teleport to wherever the disk lands, or look out the disk like it's a camera? Only, with that you can't shoot anything while you're looking through it, so you can't headshot yourself.

*downloads Prey demo* thanks

I haven't played UT2004. Honestly, I don't even know what that is.

But the Prey teleporters look like boxes with an open end. I walk into the open end and exit through the other side. It's instantaneous. And you can look through. So if there's a "box" in front of you, and the exit "box" is off to the side, but facing you, you'l be looking at yourself.

Oh, and no problem. If you have a half-way decent PC, it'll handle the game. Though it's quite advanced. The game uses the Doom 3 engine. (same engine used for Quake 4.)

Try the demo of it. You can play online with a few of my friends from another forum if you get it running tonight, to see what it's like.

Now if only Activision would stop being a cunt, and give me my CD-Key back...
