Southern Gothic Literature

I'm starting to really dig southen gothic literature. Tennessee Williams and Flannery O'Connor are favorites of mine. I'm going to start reading Eudora Welty and William Faulkner soon. Anyone else like this genre? Any suggestions for specific books I should seek?

I've read Faulkner's the Sound and Fury. I have not read Flannery O'Connor nor Tennessee Williams. I'm interested in checking out Flannery O'Connor. I guess I probably should. I just never got around to them.

I recommend O'Connor strongly. She's very wry, cynical, sarcastic, and smart. Check out her short stories, that way you can get a taste and fall in love or not. "A Good Man Is Hard To Find" and "Good Country People" would be my recommendations. Enjoy!

I love it. It's a whole other dimension of goth literature. I don't enjoy it as much and I've read little outside of the Tennessee Williams barrier. I think it is a genre that people should definately check out.
