Keanu Says No to Constantine 2

Keanu Says No to Constantine Sequel

Sci Fi Wire reports Keanu Reeves said he wouldn't take on the Constantine role for a sequel. "Not with me," Reeves said flatly when asked about it during an interview at the Toronto International Film Festival.

Reeves said that he liked the character and thought it was a well-rounded part, but that the film version of the Hellblazer series from DC/Vertigo comics wasn't enough of a moneymaker to warrant a sequel. The movie made $75 million domestically and more than double that overseas, but cost Warner Brothers about $100 million to make.

Is there any hope for Constantine 2? "No," Reeves said. "We didn't quite make it."

Meanwhile, Reeves said that he is excited about two other genre projects he has coming up. "I did a movie with Richard Linklater called A Scanner Darkly, which is a Philip K. Dick adaptation," Reeves said.

Oh, Keannu is gonna keep on acting like he can act.

Now I see why this is on spooky news

I still laugh myself silly whenever I watch him in Dracula. Billy Bob Thornton could make a better british accent. Shit, even Michael Madsen could...

I know.. I friggin love that movie, except for HIM!!

His friggin accent comes and goes the ENTIRE movie..

It was like watching Bill and Ted from Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure, read Shakespeare..

Not so much..

Oh and get this..

He is ALSO a practicing Buddhist..

I just don't see it.. But maybe I am missing Keanu's deep spiritual side..

I thought the spiritual side was Billy and Ted go to Hell.

Funny, cause besides being Keannu's partner in Billy and Ted, all I remember having seen the other guy on was The Lost Boys, as one of the vampires in Sutherlands troupe.

Some bad actors make it big, and others don't...

Good movie. Oh well. Haha, that Keanu... always in good movies, but a crappy actor. Oh well. Know what I love? Johnny Mnemonic. That movie rocked.

Oh, come on, we all know the short story shits all over the film. Molly as a blonde? Molly without her extra special features?!
I honestly think that Keanu Reeves hit the spot with Bill and Ted's excellent adventure; he just can't act any other role than dopey teenager. And when it's not a film that takes the piss, it just does not work.

That said, the worst thing about Constantine was at the very end, when ol' Johnnie gives up smoking. Who the ****ing hell wrote that into it?

I loved constantine.

Keanu has his roles..... I didn't like the matrix *Ducks tomatoes* Mainly cuz I couldn't see Keanu being all super hero-ish.

"Like, take the red pill or the blue Pill, Dude."

What I'm really waiting for the Preacher Film.

Go Jesse Custer!
