hiya
*peaks out from behind large object and waves* Hi…
1. What do you do? (Hobbies, job)
I write poetry, fiction and non-fiction. I read a lot. I do basic web design, and enjoy doing advocacy for the lgbt community. I work a bit for my parents doing research for their company. I also spend a disturbing amount of time in coffee shops.
2. Where are you from?
Western Canada. Where it's very, very cold at the moment.
3. Who is your favorite author?
Author? Raphael Carter. But I'm going to cheat and include Richard Siken as my favourite poet, because he's rather fantastic.
4. What are your favorite films?
The Price Of Kissing, Serenity, V For Vendetta, Crash...
5. What music do you want played at your wedding?
Tori Amos
6. At your funeral?
...do I care? I'll be dead and rather unable to hear it.
7. This IS a gothic website, so... how do you want to die?
Um, not violently. :-D
8. What kind of casket would you want?
A pretty one! I've actually not spent much time thinking about this.
9. What's your FAVORITE outfit?
Currently, a black shirt with fishnet sleeves and front with my black diagonally cut velvet skirt (that has big pockets!) and spider web stockings with black leather flats. But it changes depending on my mood, not gonna lie.
10. What's one thing you miss about being a little kid?
The excitement of the holidays like Christmas and Easter.
11. What's your favorite band?
The Dresden Dolls
12. What kind of education do you have? What is/was/will be your major?
I'm in my final year of high school. I plan to major in English and creative writing.
13. Why did you join?
Can we just go with my 'ooo, shiny!' reaction?
I don't know. I like people. I like Goths and gothic ideas and clothing and mindset and music and consider myself kind of Goth, so... *shrugs*
14. If the first 13 questions didn't give it away. What is your gender?
female

You seem quite gothy to me. Just lose the belief that Goth can also be a mindset. It's so horribly limiting to think that.

Welcome. You seem like a decent and interesting newcomer. Long may you post here.

The Dresden Dolls are amazing!
Bon, madam, bon. Do you prefer the first or second album?
Anyway, welcome aboard, you seem to be a very swish and interesting lady.

It's a hard choice, but I honestly think I like the second album better. They just seem to have a more... together sound.
Thank you, everyone, for the welcome!
