Catch me?

Came up with this not too long ago...
Should I add more to it?

If I shouted "I hate you"

Hung on mountains

of suicide and hatred

would you catch me then?

If I fell at the door of death

screaming for you

and reaching for your hand

would you even try to catch me?

If I was pushed in the oceans

of rumors

tossed around in folding lies

and crashing tides

would you catch me?

I wouldn't say to stop writing, because a lot of my early poetry wasn't too great, but you need to know that this poetry is bad.

It's bad because it's 100% cliche, it's completely ineloquent, and it isn't written interestingly.

Like Underwater Ophelia said, don't stop writing. But, if you're really serious about improving your writing, befriend a literature teacher and ask for tips, advice and nudges in the right direction. If you have Advanced Placement teachers, or anything of the sort, try those first. Nothing against lower level teachers, who can offer very good advice as well, but AP teachers tend to know more about a specific subject, rather than just general knowledge pertaining to it. Though, this is all just from my experience. My writing improved dramatically during my AP class. I hated the class, hated the teacher, but learned more than I ever have from another lit teacher.
