Greetings, nanoo-nanoo etc.
You can call me Nemi. I'm 21, Irish, and female (though the content of my posts may give you reason to doubt that in the future - I'm not what you'd call ladylike).
I'm a thorough cynic, and I like to think I'm incapable of taking anything seriously. I like my humour like I like my corpses; dry or foul.
My music taste varies considerably, from grunge through 60s, 70s and 80s rock to death metal. I'll give just about anything a listen, provided it's not 16 year olds whining about their difficult lives.
I like my films gorey and filled with black humour. If it's not filled with splatter and arterial gush, it's not worth watching.
I'm a voracious reader, willing to peruse the nutritional information sections on food packets when I'm out of more conventional reading material. Put print in front of me, and I'm happy as a pig in ****. (I also tend to use more expletives than actual words, what's the board policy on this, and how long do I have to be a member for before I can tell said policy to partake of a cactus-suppository??) My current literary flavour of the month is Joe Hill's "Heart-Shaped Box".
Meh...what else to say...I could follow the protocol and give you all the details of my little Goth fantasies, but Hell, that'd leave us with no interesting surprises. You want to know more? Get talking to me. I don't bite. Unless I'm asked to.
Looking forward to chatting with y'all...

I predict you and Underwater Ophelia will get along swimmingly. Your attitude reminds me of her for some reason.
Welcome!

I can't wait to get your book soon...
And you can drop as many s/f/b/d/gd-bombs as you like. You just have to wait 25-30 posts to put in urls, 300 to sig and 500 to PM. The win is strong with this one too.

It's funny you say that, because I was just going to tell her she's a loser!
But we'll see.

Aaaaaarrrg! So many replies...let's go chronological...
Dabbadmc, I'm a filthy disgusting Dub. Are you a Paddy yourself? If so, whereabouts are you from?
For the people referencing Underwater Ophelia, I'm sure I'd be flattered if I knew who that was...so...emm...thanks?
Also, it's unsettling to read compliments on my sense of humour...give it a few days, you'll soon learn to hate me...mwahahahahaha....
Lolly PopMuzik, read the book, READ IT, and thanks for the advice, feck-arse-bollicks, hurray for Tourettes!
Underwater Ophelia, I've just noticed your post, and I'm not one to leap to conclusions early on, but where do you get this hostility from? Maybe your music tastes perhaps? Why not try some jazz, maybe some classical...or buy a cat? I hear they're good for combatting personal angst...
Godslayer Jillian, **** = shit.
Murasaki Eyeliner, ermmm....jeans and black tops I guess? Whatever's lying on the floor closest to the bed, and doesn't stink too much. I really have little time for appearances.
...note to self, don't leave the board for hours at a stretch, these people reply quickly....

That interesting when you consider that you don't know anything about me.
God, all the cool people here know my hostility comes from my drugged out mom and screaming father and not my music, Jesus.
You're not cool.

Take a deep breath, and take account of the fact that I was joking.
Now, hello. I'm new here. I'm not trying to make any enemies, nor am I going to take shit. Therefore, let's all try to get along. Take everything I say as a joke, unless explicitly stated otherwise. Mmmkay?
I can tell we're going to be just the best of buds...

You're dumb.
Did the part about "all the cool kids" not tip you off that I wasn't being serious?

Oh dear, instead of getting along swimmingly it is the unmovable object meets the irresistible force.

I am indeed a 'paddy' myself.
From up North, Portstewart. Near Coleraine, if you've heard of either.

My, aren't we tetchy. Let's try to bury the hatchet and move on to less...incendiary topics, shall we? Any suggestions?
Dabba (can I call you Dabba??) I have indeed heard of Coleraine, but not, unfortunately, Portstewart. Nice to have a neighbour on the board!

Sure, Dabba or Dabs (the latter being my actual nickname).
It is indeed nice to have a neighbour here! We shall keep each other informed about upcoming gothic events of interest.
