Favorite Easy-Listening Music

I'm aware the whole "list" thing has been done quite a few times, but this thread I decided to only make for those bands we listen to as we're curled under our covers on a rainy evening, while we listen to both the pitter-patter of the droplets, and the soft, soothing noise of our music drifting from the speakers of our stereos.

Here's my list:

1) Amethystium

2) Enya

3) Yanni

4) Kitaro

What's yours? =)

I third Enya. I also like Cocteau Twins and Dead Can Dance. And Annie Lennox is always good for relaxing.

Benny Goodman, Duke Ellington, most often Beethoven.

"Peter and the Wolf" (I forget who composed it) is one of my favorites to listen to when I'm being creative.

Any of the Silent Hill soundtracks by Akira Yamaoka are great, although they often go from melancholy to unnerving very quickly. Dead Can Dance is always a winner too.

Cocteau twins certainly, Smoke & Mirrors ( ergo Michael and Spider ) Lisa Gerrad's solo work.

Not Dead can dance though. I often find many of the songs to have a powerful efffect on me, and so I cannot relax to it.

Yes, he's a true virtuoso musician. I still need to hear his work on the Castlevania soundtrack. If you're interested, you may want to check out a few rock songs he's done too here: http://www.last.fm/music/Akira+Yamaoka?q=akira+yamaoka

Ooh, that introduction you offered put me in a sort of sleepy torpor, and now I'm wishing I had a blanket to nestle into right now ^^

Of course it depends on the song, but for "easy listening" I favor Jill Tracy, the Birthday Massacre, Switchblade Symphony, the Cruxshadows, and compositions by Danny Elfman. The soundtrack to American McGee's Alice by Chris Vrenna is also a favorite of mine, this time of year.
