Maxim_Macabre: Introduction.

Hello Boards,

1. What do you do? (Hobbies, job)

I'm still at school, Year Eleven and am studying for my VCE certificate. I'm interested in Science, History, and Philosophy, however
I have chosen Physics over Biology. In my free time I enjoy playing Guitar or Violin, the first which I only recently started playing
and the latter which I have played for about six years. I've had part time work before at a fast food place (Macdonald's ... never again), but as a result of moving
recently not anymore.

2. Where are you from?

Well, I was born in Melbourne on the 27th of October, 1992.
After sometime living here when I was about 6 years old my family relocated to the United States.
Whilst there I lived in Birmingham, Michigan.
Now, after about another 6 and a half years I believe we moved again, to Adelaide, Australia due to the company that my father worked for.
Looking back on this it's pretty good that we left when we did, seeing how that whole area of the country has basically gone to shits.
Three more years on and I'm living in Victoria, about a half hours drive from the city center. All roads lead back to home, I guess.

3. Who is your favorite author?

Alan Moore ; "Watchmen", "V for Vendetta", "The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen", etc.
Sergei Lukyanenko ; "Night Watch Trilogy", "The Last Watch".
Bram Stoker ; "Dracula".
George Orwell ; "Animal Farm", "Nineteen Eighty-Four", "Coming Up For Air".
Fredrick Forsyth ; "The Deceiver", "The Negotiator", "The Shepherd", "The Dogs of War", etc.
Isaac Asimov ; "Today and Tomorrow".
Kohta Hirano ; "Hellsing Series".
Marcus Sedgwick ; "My Sword Hand is Singing" , "The Book of Dead Days".
Friedrich Nietzsche ; "Beyond Good and Evil", "Twilight of the Idols", "The Antichrist", "The Birth of Tragedy", etc.
H. P. Lovecraft ; Various.

4. What are your favorite films?

Psycho
Birds
The Shining
Sleepy Hollow
Corpse Bride
The Nightmare Before Christmas
Dracula (Old Black and White, Bella Lugosi)
Nosferatu (Old Black and White)

5. What music do you want played at your wedding?

Honestly, I have no Idea. My significant other would probably end up choosing it.

6. At your funeral?

Same here, maybe "Another One Bites the Dust", by Queen.

7. This IS a gothic website, so... how do you want to die?

When I'm old enough to be the only person on my street that saw the millennium come to pass.

8. What kind of casket would you want?

I'll be dead so I doubt it'll be my greatest concern. Something comfortable though, as I hear that they're generally built for looks.

9. What's your FAVORITE outfit?

Band Shirt/ DIY Band Shirt, Black Jeans, Boots, Accessories.

10. What's one thing you miss about being a little kid?

Nothing.

11. What's your favorite band?

I'm not going to write down every band I listen to, but rather what I listen to the most.
This generally consists of a mix between, Deathrock, Darkwave, Gothic Rock, Gothic Metal, Folk Metal,
and Black Metal.

Such bands include:
Christian Death, Bauhaus, Alien Sex Fiend, Sex Gang Children, Diary of Dreams, BlutEngel, Theatre of Tragedy,
Theatres des Vampires, My Dying Bridge, Draconian, Specimen, The Cure, VnV Nation, Velvet Acid Christ,
Skinny Puppy, Nine Inch Nails, Ministry, etc.

Burzum, Mayhem, Emperor, Carpathian Forest, Death, Bathory, Primordial, Equilibrium, Tyr, Satyricon,
Venom, Gorgoroth, Immortal, Enslaved, etc.

12. What kind of education do you have? What is/was/will be your major?

Still in High School, most likely something Science or Art related.

13. Why did you join?

To learn more about DIY, Haunted House, Cierco and Raptor have shown some very nice things, also to expand my musical library and engage in the at times interesting discussions this place has to offer.

14. If the first 13 questions didn't give it away. What is your gender?

Male.

~ Maxim.

Haha. Oh, I wouldn't use my introduction thread as a reference for anything. The list of bands I put on there isn't very accurate anymore, and I've changed quite a bit since I joined here.

Anyway, I approve of your taste in music. I've been getting much more into black metal lately, and less so of EBM and the likes.

I, too, would like to go to school for science and/or art. I really can't decide, but I'm thinking about pathology and just doing art on the side, as I'm not good enough to make money from it.

Welcome!

The Melbournian members of Gnet should all have a little city trip, with milkshakes and sniffing candles in Myers.

Initially I thought you were someone I knew from my old school but you're too young.

That might be because they are Theater of Tragedy.

Anyway, I can find 5 within the last week in the music thread. Oh wait. I must be misunderstanding your broken English again. You were trying to say that TheatER of Tragedy are mentioned all the time around here and you like to dress like a girl and take it up the ass and cry about it.

ANYWAY, I agree with you now.

YOUR broken English. Theater is the American spelling, Theatre of Tragedy are Norwegian and therefore use the standard English spelling.

Welcome, though I'm going to ask you why you chose The Exploited's logo as your avatar when you seemingly don't listen to punk? Welcome anyway, you seem nice enough, hope you enjoy it here.

Hmm...thats a tough one. I'd have to say Where Lovers Mourn and then Arcane Rain Fell. There's something about the mix of the melodious female vocals with the growls and shrieks of the male lead that's just perfect on almost all of thier albums, though Turning Seasons Within seems to be heading more towards conventional metal.
