Sukkameilli has awoken

I hate doing intros, you'll get to know me in time. That's the fun bit. Needless to say I am not your standard Goth-in-a-box. Labels don't fit me very well and that's the way I like it, frankly.

so.. to answer the standard noobie Qs
I currently live and work in Northwest England as a legal secretary (hence having to tone down the goth on a day to day basis, we already have a rep as bloodsuckers, vampire wear tends to put the clientele off somewhat).

I read mostly sci-fi and fantasy, big fan of Canavan, Holt, Pratchett and Lynch

My favourite films are mostly animated, not very goth and not things i am liable to admit to in public. A big fan of studio Ghibli though if that in anyway saves the reputation i am yet to earn.

At my wedding we did have a Goth DJ and played a lot of the stock gth faves but our first & last dances were Country Music - Big & Rich & Dixie Chicks

My funeral tune is 'If I ever leave this world alive' by flogging molly

in answer to how I want to die, preferably by a bite to the neck which grants the life of the eternal undead. Obviously.

I want a viking funeral, chuck me on a raft, set it on fire and push it out to sea.

Favourite outfit has to be Victorian line lambs leather steel boned tight lacing corset, Lace fishtail bustle skirt and 8" demonia buckle boots. accessories have to be the half size vintage tophat, black 1/2 face veil, cameo necklace, edwardian cuff cloves and lace choker with vintage bloodstone broach.
I love goth fashions though I tend to switch between the victoriana, steampunk, cybergoth and slightly more BDSM looks.

The one thing i miss about being a little kid is being able to satisfy my curiosity without judgement. Well that and being allowed to eat haribo until i was sick without having to clean it up.

Bandwise I love a little of everything. I love sisters of mercy (hubby's favourite band), am in awe of Marylin manson as a lyricist, love a bit of Rammestein & Bucktick for the non-english language stuff. But basically anything I can dance to, anything that makes the blood rush to my nipples and the hair on the back of my neck stand on end when played at full volume

I graduated from university 4 years ago, just looking at postgrad stuff now to start in the next couple of years.

anything else you wish to know, just ask.

That is some damn fine music to make the blood rush to your nipples. I need to start listening more closely.
I love the favourite outfit! I have yet to save up the cash to afford that sort of finery, but the real-deal corset is definitely on my Wish List.
Pleased to make your acquaintance!

Nice intro. Who doesn't like Pratchett ... and what's wrong with them? LOL!

Welcome to this place. I look forward to your contributions.

Sukkameilli, yours is a good intro. I'm impressed by your fashion sense. By the way, I agree that Miyazaki Hayao's films are amazing. Doubtless, you'll find that a taste for anime is no peculiar thing around here. As far as music is concerned, Buck Tick is great as well ~ especially their older stuff. Welcome to Gnet.

A taste for anime is pretty standard I find, but the fact that i hate with a passion Ghost in the shell and Akira tends to mark me out as a weirdo among weirdos. I hate gratutious violence, especially in cartoons. The artform is far superior without it.

anyway.... thanks & hi xxx

I got a question.

Where exactly are you not a 'standard goth-in-a-box'?
