Music Finally, an entire forum devoted to talking about Doktor Avalanche, the drum machine for the Sisters of Mercy. You can talk about other bands, or other members of that band, too, if you want to be UNCOOL. |

They don't suck. Personally their music doesn't interest me all that much, but at least they're talented.

I don't find this music unique in any way, but they're not too bad. I know better acoustic bands though.

It's pretty hard to make something unique with the amounts of music that was already created, but it's nice to listen to something "unpolished". Has a different feel to it compared to fully processed music.

it sounds like a song you'd hear in highschool plays. and her voice is drowned out by that piano.

I think they're okay, but I've heard better. Thanks anyway for the link. Those may just be some of their bad songs, so I'll check around and post back if I like them.

Talented yes, to my liking no. But they're not too awful. I wouldn't download anything by them.

They have a nice raw sound to them, kind of like an unfinished board that hasn't been sanded. I wouldn't call them completely original, but definitely talented. I like the vocals.

I noticed that too. She's singing very softly, and the piano kind of steals the show. It's very haunting and gentle, I'd probably like it, but it's kind of discouraging when you can't even understand what they're saying.
