Music Finally, an entire forum devoted to talking about Doktor Avalanche, the drum machine for the Sisters of Mercy. You can talk about other bands, or other members of that band, too, if you want to be UNCOOL. |

Kreator, anyone?
Good thrash metal for when violence feels like the only outlet.
Violent Revolution
Impossible Brutality
Enemy of God
Suicide Terrorist

I love Kreator, they are one of the best metal bands to come out of Germany along with bands like Sodom and Destruction.
My first Kreator record was `Flag Of Hate`, but my all time favourite album is `Pleasure To Kill` which made some of the Bay Area thrash bands sound tame in comparision.
I would definatly recommend seeing this band live !!!.
My favourite Kreator songs are ...
Toxic Trace
Riot Of Violence
Tormentor
Betrayer
Under The Guillotine
Behind The Mirror
Extreme Aggression
Pleasure To Kill
If anyone reading this hasnt heard how brilliant this band is yet, check this out ...
Pleasure To Kill (live: Thrashing East Festival 1990)

Excellent thread! I know what I'm listening to today, Wulfy!
^_^
My favourite Kreator song is still People of the Lie. I know it's off of one of their later albums, but it was the first song of theirs that I heard and I still like it.

If you love bands like Kreator and Slayer, and Destruction, and love all things Thrash, then check out Terrorizer magazines `Secret History Of Thrash` special that they have on sale (if your in the UK, WH Smiths stock it).
I got mine the other day and I havent put it down since !!!.
Terrorizer Magazine and `Secret History Of Thrash`
Another point of interest is that Terrorizer magazine has non other than an interview with Andrew Eldritch of Sisters OF Mercy and Fields Of The Nephilim in their bi monthly supplement Dominion (which is featured inside Terrorizer itself) which specialises in Gothic music of all kinds... well worth checking out !!!.
Dominion
I was wondering what everyones favourite Kreator album cover was (mines `Pleasure To Kill` or the `Behind The Mirror` E.P which made an awesome T shirt) ?

Enemy of God is my favorite, but Violent Revolution has a few bits that I hold dear to my heart.

Kreator is a nice thrash metal band, one of the few thrash bands I listen to though. I like the albums "Enemy of God" and "Pleasure to Kill" the most. All their albums are great, except the middle ones, influenced by other genres. I didn't like those that much.
