Most Haunted Live, Celebrity Paranormal Experiment, etc.
Has anyone else watched these? I've been hooked on them all this weekend, and I've been kind of freaked out when I went to bed since I was alone in the apartment (my husband works nights on the weekend). Basically both of these shows are where people or celebrities go into places that are supposed to be haunted, and they investigate as well as try to disturb the spirits to get paranormal events to occur. They take in cameras with lights, EVP meters, thermometers, special voice recorders, infared cameras, etc.
I believe in ghosts as I've seen/experienced them before, but I'm still somewhat skeptical that perhaps at least some of the experiences on these shows weren't real. I'd like to believe that it's all real, though. For example, there were orbs of light seen, faint screaming, voices that were picked up by the tape recorders but not heard originally, banging/knocking noises, temperature drops, unexplained heat sources on the infared cameras, etc.
There are supposed to be new episodes of both on tonight I believe. The Most Haunted Live is a UK show that is now show in the US on the Travel Channel, and the Celebrity Paranormal Experiment is show on VH1. The latter show is based off of an old show called Fear that was on MTV. It is especially entertaining because it features C-list celebs such as Tony Little, Gary Busey, Rachel Hunter, Picabo Street, etc. It was funny as hell to see macho-man Tony Little wearing a straight-jacket, sweating profusely, and scared shitless.
