bottling blood
The current love interests birthday is coming up and he mentioned how romantic a bottle(meaning half ounce vial) of his partners blood is.
Has anybody attempted this before?
Is this a common request?

Bleh, I hate this new obsession with blood. A friend of mine and her group of friend (which I hate) are always talking about blood, giving blood, drinking blood, wanting blood.
HATE IT!

I think it's intriguing, actually. I think blood have very artistic values (or at least even makeup implied to be blood). Blood can symbolize so much.
I am sure it to be a common request among underground groups of people who actually practice such things as bloodletting, but like not anywhere else.

It isn't easy to do because the blood seperates and dries. You need to add some sort of anti-coagulant to it, like sodium heparin-which is an injectable blood thinner that is used for the treatment of DVT's etc. If you know someone who is a nurse of a doctor then you may be able to get some. You could try disolving part of a warfarin tablet in the blood if you know someone who takes warfarin, but I don't think that this would work.
And as someone who has been involved in bloodplay for years I agree with Jillian. I'm sick and tired of hearing about it as well. It's depressing when your fetishes become someone else's fashion statement.

Sounds interesting, but I'm not surprised that it's overdone =/ Still like the idea though. However, one could always use some other vital human fluid, such as stomach acids, to break away from the multitude. If they're creative.
