Now, I had to take snippets of other peoples' similar, short poems, and incorporate it with my own, and I was not allowed to change others' wording:
After I spoke to you,
The bittersweet handshake
Palpitations; the I-love-yous
With outstretched cheeks and bulging eyes
Did I launch myself, to be rid of all lies,
Into the arms of intrepid skies.
