I can't understand what you're trying to say. Do you speak English?

The day I went to see GOF at the cinemas, was the same day the King Kong opened at our cinema, so I missed the first 10 minutes or so of the movie. Which, was Quidditch. And I love Quidditch. No joke. I reckon it was one of JK's best idea, that sport. I love watching it
I enjoyed reading this entire thread. If a thread is more than a couple of pages long, I usually just read the first and last page, but this one was different!

HP books are good, but the movies suck. I used to be a huge HP fan when I was going elementary school. Then I sorta grew out of them, I don't read them over and over again anymore. But I like the books, when I got the Half-blood Prince the day it was released I read it in 2 days.
well the movies. I've got a list of bad movies I've seen in my life and HPs belong to there.

I agree, end. Love the books, but the movies are dire.

I like the movies, although the first 2 movies had a better director than the recent ones. I don't quite understand the fascination/obsession with the series and such. The books are good, although I don't like the direction the author is taking the series in. She plans on killing some of the characters and most likely Harry Potter himself. Which I think is quite ridiculous. I don't know if I really like the series anymore.

I've read all of the books out, I've enjoyed the stories, but I'm not too fond of the films.
But I have seen all the films, though merely for one thing....I like to spot all the people I know who are playing extras.
I spotted some guy from my drama class in the background of Defense Against The Dark Arts in G.O.F (if you're interested he's got bleach blonde hair & is in Hufflepuff)
& during the scene where the people have the ' Potter Stinks' badges, the guy sat behind Cedric Diggory when Harry approaches him, well yeah I know his family.
Oh & someone I know is Rupert Grint's cousin
Dammit I sure have my links.

I read all of the books and thought they were so much better than the films, as they missed out alot of bits and some chracters wernt as they were described in the book such as Remus Lupin. If only I were a witch I could cast spells and make potions it would be so much fun................

I'm a Harry Potter nerd, myself. (Ravenclaw represent)
I'm going to push down all of my blind hatred of people who...vituperate...the series ;D
I love the books, though if you haven't read past the 4th one I will give you license not to like them.
The movies are, at times, hilarious, but despite their flaws I adore them.
It's always a pleasant surprise to find a hardcore Harry Potter fan...unless, of course, they're an idiot who really thinks that Snape is evil...*trails off*

You agree with the theory that Snape couldn't possibly evil because Dumbledore trusted him, or are you a Snape lover too? I'm a bit of both myself but yes, I would like to learn another's opinion on the matter. *listens intently*
I guess I'm Slytherin/Gryfindor mix, I'm compared to Snape, and Hermione quite a lot.

I have heard an interesting theory on the fact that Dumbledore knew that Snape had made the vow he made, so either he sacrificed himself for the better good of things, or he didn't really die.

Nah, Dumbledore died and that's it.
It would be too bubblegumpop for him to not have died and come back in the last book and marry Harry Potter and live happily ever after.

I am anxious to see what's in the next book, though, even though I absolutely hated the ending to the last book. It seemed so cliché. And the whole Harry and Ginny thing annoyed me. They make a terrible couple! Argh. Ron and Hermione aren't much better, at that. Rowling is annoying me.
