It's a bad pic, but here is the cale from the baby shower for my niece Sheon Seun (Emilee):
And after the sicko daddy-to-be got a hold of it. We just can't have nice things.
Sigh.

Wow, I actually thought that was a real teddy bear when I first clicked the link! I'm impressed, Santarea! It must have been a bit sad having to eat the little fellow though...

Santarea>>That cake looks awesome. I think I would have had a hard time resisting the urge to cut off the head and eat it too. *sheepish grin*
I totally agree that cake decoration is an art form!
End.of.Eternity>> You've got some major skittles 3/4 is tricky and you seem to have mastered it. I love the eyes and how they have volume!
TK>> I love how your creation looks mummafied!

That cake is the (sugar) bomb, Santarea! I sure would like to nibble on those furry ears... Not that stuff like that turns me on! But the chocolate, oh man...
And end.of.eternity, you got some skills with the pencil! You drew that from life? Good job on the shading and capturing the subject's expression.
TwistedKitsune: Your doodles are funny! And I like your lines, how they're all rough and casual. You should try your hand on some realistic stuff, too. It'd probably turn out cool.
These are some of my pen drawings. The robot dog & master is a lot larger than on paper, and on the other ones I got a little carried away with the line-shading, but they're pretty indicative of my style, I guess... Not too happy with the results, though, but what the hell, it's just experimenting.
First, a tableau depicting the lifeblood that is coffee turning into a river dividing the rich from the poor. Ha ha, just kidding, I'm not really that pretentious. Look for the hidden message (tip: look at the title) in the abstract cityscape growing out of the cup, though.

Curious hand (based on my own) stroking the glass of a tank containing the elusive "sheet-octopi".
http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a1...mindrehand.jpg
Finally, the robo-dog and his ill-tempered master. He's not really gonna hit him, he's just angry and hurt he had to take the elevator by himself...

pitseleh>> The coffee one is my favorite, you do cartoon-type people very well. The last two made me giggle like a fool.

Thank you, Oubliette! If I can make you giggle with my drawings, then I consider that a compliment of the highest order.

I love your drawing, Ends. Did you do that from a photo or did you draw it with her right in front of you?
Pitseleh, your drawings are so funny. The octopi are really cute, especially the one that is saying "Get the hell away from me." It made me laugh. And the coffee one is just... awesome. You did a good job disguising the message in the skyscrapers (aka I can't find it).
This is a painting I did in mid-February. It's my favourite that I've done ever.

Thank you, Corp. Your painting of Pikachu and the rat is awesome. Love the way it looks all plushy, and then with the blood... so cool.

Thank you.
The assignment was to do a still life, and I didn't want to do the old fruit-in-a-bowl-with-wine-bottles thing, so I grabbed my pikachu backpack and toy rat and used watercolour on cotton to make the background and bloody "floor." It was so much fun to paint.

Woooah, great stuff everybody
ends that's absolutely amazing my last attempt at a 3/4 veiw in such a realistic style ended up with the poor girl have one very messed up eye, and a rather messed up mouth!
Oubliette thanks
Pitseleh Firstly, thanks. As I mentioned before, the scribbly-casual thing isn't normally what I do, but I'm really having fun with it. Doing something more realistic in this style might be fun, I'll have to try it! Also though, I love your work! And I'm definitely loving the sheet-octopi
Now, since both realism, and my vaguely failed attempt at a realistic 3/4 veiw were mentioned, I'll go ahead and show you what I'm talking about!

That's awesome. You did a really good job. The lips in particular are stunning. I'm digging their shineyness. The shading and depth of the face are nicely executed as well. You talked about a "very messed up eye." If you want to fix that up a bit, you might try taking the outer corner of the far eye down some. Perhaps move the iris of that same eye a little farther from the inside corner, too. Good job, though.

maybe I'll draw the next one just for you!
And Corpus, thanks for the advice, she'd be a little hard to change now, graphite's pretty well permanent now, especially when it's that dark. Besides, keeping the mistakes around makes me more conscious of not making them the next time around.

Ah and thanks to you all That picture actually is meant to be myself, and it's quite alike. I had a photo of myself at home so I decided to try to draw it, and that's the result. So, I didn't draw it just 'out of my head'
But it's annoying that I can't take a pic without messing up with lights. There's that stupid light which spoils the left side of the work-

it means a 3/4 view of the face, not quite a profile and not quite a full frontal

To everyone who posted a picture on the last page, AMAZING. There are too many drawings I saw that I absolutely loved to write down, so I'll say you're ALL incredible and you ALL should be famous. End of story.
