We just lost our goth club. Now I have to go all the way to London to get my fix.

There are no goth clubs in my area at all. There's a shitty little skankhole in town that all the emokids go to, but after one visit I decided once was enough.
As for the two nearest citys, there aren't any clubs/pubs that specifically play goth, but there are one or two that play a mixture of goth , metal and other stuff.
One club in Birmingham has a seperate room for goth/industrial, but I only get to go there on my birthday as it's the only time I can get my friends ( I do not know any other goths) to cross the threshold of any kind of " alternative" club.

Can you not find others with taste like yours? Make a few new friends you can go out with so you an go to Birmingham's night.

Hey! I go to Iowa about every 6 weeks, Cedar Rapids. Is your scene in Cedar Rapids? I look everytime I go but can't find any clubs that are even remotely Goth (or Goths for that matter. Mostly death metal heads and rock).
By the way, please take a moment and introduce yourself by answering the questions below and then posting new thread in the Introduction Board:

the gothrock music, like ska, in the philippines, are mostly indie. as well as these songs are seldom if not heared in the radio.
sad, but most gothrock music filipino goths listened are in compact discs distributed-specially pirated. in the markets of Divisoria in Manila.
The Filipinos prefer pop, rap and novelty songs, as well as punk.

Hmm considering the metro area I'm in and the town in which I live (a college town with several very popular music-related majors) there is a vast aray of music here. You can find just about anything here from rock, heavy metal, punk, rap, r & b, alternative, jazz, oldies tribute bands, etc. Whatever floats your boat. I just get really tired of the dominant country music scene nearby.... ugh! Also there are probably almost too many musicians here. It's like "you're in a band? Oh so is my best friend, and my boyfriend, and one of my proffessors, and the pizza delivery guy, oh and my mom's in a band too...." lol (that's not me just an example)
It's very hard to know if a band's going to be any good around here because everyone thinks they can "make it big". You just have to either trust your instincts & listen, or ask around...

Sorry for the double post but Saturday I actually went to one of these local hxc shows in my city and well I must say it was rather fun.. So I suppose I'm gonna lay off on my jokes towards hxc kids, heh.

My local music scene...hmmm...All the kids in my school do "ass **** lines" Girl bend over, shake ass. Guy *moan and shake ass* Repeat until you are blocked by another line in which you walk one step and start over. All this to things like Fall Out Boy and some shitty hip hop and rap. -.-' Very few kids in my school like metal, they are mostly guys and the girls who "listen to metal" like Evanesence and Kelly Clarksin. Though, I must admit, gay friend of mine who is one of them, I introduced to Lacuna Coil but he's still beyond redemption.

What the fook is wrong with Hong Kong's music scene? I don't really know myself. The alternative music here is synonymous with Indie Rock (there is however, a very small portion of electronic-minded folks). I've never personally listened to any of that music, but from reading the mainstream English newspaper here, I get the feeling that "music literacy" should be improved. There was a story in the paper today about an indie rocker and the reporter said that he got his inspiration from "...black music.". Dead serious. Maybe it's just a language thing, but that's pretty racist and ignorant.
