I took a couple classes. You get more work doing that stuff just practicing and taking as many jobs as possible. Meeting people and sharing your work. Getting more jobs.
And yeah, Brandon is a big guy. Really smart and polite too.

They are real nails, sawed off at different points and stuck in latex and foam that has been dyed. I painted them on with adhesive and then blended them in with makeup. Added fake blood.
It's all explained in the link. They came out better than I thought.
