Fashion DIY tips and gratuitous plugs. And hair. Hair! Flow it, show it. Wait...no. That's some hippie musical. Nevermind. |

Not that that's my opinion.

Yeah, I'm not a big fan of hippies, so I'll second that. However, I'll give the caveat that I dont hate all hippies...just the college hippies that want to smoke pot all the time and just go along loudly with whatever cause seems to be popular for the current 15 minutes...and pretty much all the hippies that are lazy and smelly. Its not that I dont like them as people...its just that they annoy me and I dont quite understand what's so preferable about their lifestyle.
...nice new avatar, by the way

I don't really buy clothes from shops because I usually make my own clothes. It's pretty fun. I think Hot Topic doesn't have original clothese and it's not that nice anyways.

Not all hippies suck... the majority of people in this town are hippies and rednecks.... and the hippies don't throw things at you. Not that all of the rednecks are bad either... but in general... yeah.
The shirts to me are built really strangely... like squares. They're usually too wide and a bit too short on me 0.o
Flat chests are IN?!?! W007!!! *happy dance*
... not that it matters, 'cause it'll probably be different next season

Hehe, your milkshake would bring all the boys to the yard....I know I'd make a cameo appearance. Lets not kid ourselves with the mental imagery of crickets and tumbleweeds and whatnot...

Yeah, but I dont know what people were thinking when they came up with the whole "heroin chic" look....I'm a burly fella, and I dont want to feel like I'm going to break my woman in half.

It's true though, fashion has a mind of it's own as well.
Well, I used to be full of bones and now I actually have curves. My ex-boyfriend preferred my boner body. There are a small exception to men liking non-curvy women but generally men do want curver women.

This is the final thing that I am going to say to you, because no matter how hard people try to give you advice you ignore it. You are playing the 'victim' role. You think that everybody is out to get you and that nothing is your fault. Mature people realise that the world doesn't revolve around them and they admit their mistakes. However, you seem to think that nothing is your fault and that everybody should feel sorry for you. I for one don't because you have brought all of this upon yourself.Until you change your sttitude nothing is going to be any different. Take responsibility for your actions and grow up.

I love Hot Topic *shields himself from oncoming objects*. Let me explain myself. Hot Topic is really the only dark fashion store within 100 miles of where I live. I even have to travel an hour just to get there! Of course, I know how much Hot Topic is frowned upon in the gothic subculture, but until I learn to sew, I really have no choice. Anyway, the clerks are nice, though. They always help me find what I'm seeking, and HT does have some pretty nice looking items. One of biggest complaints is the pricing, though. I also quite hate the fact that the store to which I go NEVER plays gothic music. They'll play alt rock and sometimes even *shiver* rap. They're really the only place I have to get gothic items. Hopefully, though, I'll learn to sew soon and begin making my own wicked shit.

It really doesn't matter what other people "frown upon"... If you like something, wear it! You are your own person, and you will be happiest in life listening to yourself instead of others. This philosophy is the same at the other end of the spectrum as well.... Don't just wear stuff because other people think it's cool. If you don't like it, DON'T DO IT. I buy things I like, it's my money so that's how it should be. If doing things I like means I can't be part of a specific group of people, then so be it. The only person you can truly count on in life is you. Don't sell yourself out.

You're right, you know. I guess I should stop worrying what others think of me and worry only what I think of me. After all, as long as I still like gothic music, I'm still goth! Fuck anyone who thinks otherwise. Music is the very spine of this subculture, and in that fact, I can at least be assured that I'll be a part of it. At least then I still have somewhere to belong in society.
