Saya, I'm so glad you didn't tell the MP you're the "weirdo", but if you had mentioned you're the "cup cake" lady, I bet she'd have been amused!

Maybe next time XD
She did say she's keeping her schedule clear for Take Back The Night no matter what though, which is really awesome. And I met her at the opening ceremony for Pride week! She's Liberal which makes me feel conflicted, but she's so much more involved than other MPs, even NDP MPs around here.

Well, I thought no television commercial could be more asinine than the "Have a happy period, always" campaign (leaving out all the ED advertisements - they just belong in a different catagory), but this morning I've just seen one that tops it.
I was watching a program I'd recorded last night on my DVR, and one of the commercial breaks featured an ad for toilet paper. And it was a standard type of ad for this company, starring their trademark animated bears demonstrating why their TP is better. And all would have been okay if they hadn't ended the commercial with the voice over announcer delivering the tag line ...
"Enjoy the go."
WTF?!?!? They even had the url www.enjoythego.com displayed at the bottom of the screen. (BTW, I looked at the website and it's a trip too.)
What, are commercial writers 5 years old now? I don't fucking get how this passes as a proper ad to put on TV. It's tasteless and annoying.

So I went to Dour festival, which was great. But a side-affect seems to be shitting blood, and every-time when water is running, hearing voices and music in it.

Ben Lahnger says to his dog, "I don't care what anyone says about you, Cadaver. You're alright." And the dog, surprisingly, doesn't laugh.

The folks at Gawker took a transcript of the recent recorded telephone rantings of Mel Gibson and put them through a website that uses an algorithm to assess which famous writer (recent or historical) your writing most sounds like. The website said Gibson's ramblings most resembled the writings of Margaret Atwood.
Huh? ... er, huh?
Oh, and ... huh?

I would absolutely adore to be done with the work day today, go home, and take a very long and well-deserved nap.
Instead, I have about 45 minutes left, and when I get home I'm either going to be helping to move furniture or getting ready to go to the movies or both, and will probably not get any rest until late tonight.
On the other hand, I'm planning on seeing Inception with the hubby for his birthday tonight. So maybe it isn't -all- bad.

I adore gyaru very much, but I would never change my style to fit into just that one stereotype... Either way I look good doing the gyaru thing... so it's win win.

Where do you get most of your outfits that fit into the Gyaru style?

There is this one store called upscale here in Dallas, and all of the clothing is from Korea. It's very lacey and pretty. I also find alot of things at forever 21.

Yeah. In Union Square, the Forever 21 has an area dedicated to Hime Gyaru-ish stuff. The walls are even painted light pink and white, with a huge chandelier hanging from the ceiling.

We ruled out jury duty and dead relative.
