The Vampire Chronicles: So did Rice reedit the newer versions of the older novels?

What it says on the tin. I found the novels easily enough for nook (I'm going to get a color. It's a nice platform for all things related to reading. I'll shoot for a color version.)

That said, I'm wondering if Anne Rice edited the first few novels of her Vampire series to 'realign' them with her newer books? (Apparently she had a deficiency in religious bullshit and splurged all over her flagship series newer books. I'm not asking about her newer books, just the older books.)

I'd also ask about her other series - did they get the religious 'reimagining' treatment too or is it safe to purchase those as well? (I did like Mayfar Witches. It was.. very provocative in it's subject matter.)

I just thought iI should ask here as people her might have a higher chance of knowing.
