Self Entitled
May as well use the guidelines here, as I'm half asleep at the moment.
1. What do you do? (Hobbies, job) I am a Chef by trade, and its how I pay my bills. I work 10 hours shifts, 4 days a week. So I give myself a 3 day weekend, approx. 4 times a month. On the side, I have 3 acoustic projects in the works, as I have been a musician since I was 15 years of age, and a vocalist since 5. I also enjoy punching the shite out of my 150 lb punching bag, as I have been through Muay Thai training for the past 3 years, as well as Judo since 16. I like to think that I am well accomplished in my career and hobbies, though as with anyone; you are your own worst critic. And I am f*cking hard on myself. ^^
2. Where are you from? I am from a little town nestled in the ass end of the Lower Fraser Valley, in British Columbia, Canada.
3. Who is your favorite author? My favorite author is Michael Crichton
4. What are your favorite films? There are far to many to list, though I will list 5 of my "current" favorites. Everyone's Fine. Strange Days. The Mist. SLC Punk. and top the list off with Snatch.
5. What music do you want played at your wedding? I'd imagine for my family's sake, as well as my friends, I would have to have a band that played "tolerable" music. So I would go with 12 Stones. But once that 11 pm mark hit on my reception, my friends O.C.D (Obviously. Complete. Destruction) would take to the stage and melt some faces. Seriously, scope their myspace.
6. At your funeral? hmmm, this would be a tough one, as there are a-many songs that I would consider to cover the life I've lived. At this moment in time, I would have to say the one song I'd want played at my funeral is: ***** - Slipknot.
7. This IS a gothic website, so... how do you want to die? To be honest, in my sleep. Not that I'm some kind of roving "pussy" or anything. I would just rather death take me away when I am least aware. To stare death in the face is another thing in itself entirely, as we all do it at least once in our lives. But, instead of feeling the pain of a blade catch my artery like a bouquet of flowers tossed at a wedding, and having to truly experience every muscle in my body seize with an involuntary orgasm... I would rather go to sleep with the assumption I would wake up, only to never open my eyes again.
8. What kind of casket would you want? Folgers Coffee Can, has to be Folgers, so when they spread my ashes in the wind, it will smell of morning.
9. What's your FAVORITE outfit? F*cked if I know, I used to put so much thought into my wardrobe, only to now wake up in the A.M, go to my closet and pick the band t that is closest to me, grab a pair of jeans, boxer-briefs, socks, and whatever studded belt happens to be at my feet and go about my day. If a hoodie is needed, then I have several plain black ones, or blue striped ones that I have to choose from.
10. What's one thing you miss about being a little kid? Everything.
11. What's your favorite band? Can't decide. Tool, Slipknot, All That Remains, 16 Volt, Metallica, Suicide Commando, KMFDM, Combichrist, NIN. The list is endless as I have no true favorites. Though I can assure you, any list I would be forced to make would include any of Corey Taylor's work as well as Meynard James Keenan.
12. What kind of education do you have? What is/was/will be your major?
Elementary School of course. Never finished high school. I made the conscious decision to not attend school as it was far too easy for me. I grew bored. Looking back on it now. I regret my decision, as I may as well had finished my work then gone home early to do the things I wanted. Instead of taking off and leaving the sheets blank.
13. Why did you join? Found it interesting.
14. If the first 13 questions didn't give it away. What is your gender? Male.

Well first thing I think I should say is, go back and get a high school education. Maybe even go to a college/uni. EVERYONE gets bored with school at one point or another, that's no excuse to drop out. Theres no substitute for an education.
You enjoyment of Vampirefreaks has me a bit wary of you however, as far as I'm concerned nothing good comes out of that site, and whether or not you possess it's taint remains to be seen.
As for your music tastes can't say I'm fond of your music tastes, but that's no real issue, I'm a goth, and you're a metal/rivethead, you're not the droids I'm looking for, move along... and welcome

Still, he's clearly not your run-of-the-mill vampirefreaks guy coming to Gnet.
Look at all he's done. This dude's interesting. So many diverse hobbies.
Yeah, maybe you don't like his music, but you definitely can't say he's the "I listen to 'dark' bands and I hate my parents for not letting me wear a corset to the Olive Garden and all the people in my school are conformists because they're smiling" cliché
No no, this is just a cool guy, with extremely varied interests, that can clearly learn from his mistakes and still live through them, and he just happens to have a very particular taste in music.
Plus, he didn't try to impress us with the "how do you want to die" question.
I like him. Welcome man.

I don't trust Jill's instincts on this one, but I will say:

thank you for the diverse comments! i always welcome and appreciate criticism.
i cant help but agree with the types that generally come from vf. I joined that site when I was about 16 years old. and a lot has changed since then ^^ I am currently working towards my G.E.D. as well as enrolled in the Red Seal program from my Chef's ticket. Though juggling a full time job, caring for 2 children and going to school, it becomes tough at times lol But thank you for the warm welcome. ^^

I love it when my fears are proven wrong. Unfortunately I've already said welcome, so would you like a cookie instead?
