The F Scale
The F-scale is a personality test (psychometric assessment) that attempts to quantify authoritarian tendencies. The F-scale was designed on the basis of Theodor Adorno's theory of authoritarian personality. The "F" stands for "fascism."
The test is designed to measure several variables, including conventionalism, authoritarian submission, authoritarian aggression, anti-intraception, superstition and stereotype, power and "toughness," destructiveness and cynicism, projectivity, and sex.
I found a website where they do have a actual “F” scale test and this is how the website greets you.
Quote:
Fifty years ago, the Authoritarian Personality studies attempted to "construct an instrument that would yield an estimate of fascist receptivity at the personality level."
This online, interactive F Scale presents that instrument in its final form. Additional infomation, including an explanation of the personality variables the F Scale tries to measure, is given below after the questionnaire. So take the F Scale now --- or else!

I got a score of 3.6 “You are disciplined but tolerant; a true American” .

Actually, the people who made the test were quite talented at understanding how the Human mind works. That is why it is interesting.

There is a thread about this already somewhere. I got a 4.something "true American", and the funny thing was in the original thread, that it said this about Canadians too.

Apparantly I am a disciplined, but tolerant. A true American... O.o
Just wondering what they mean by "You may want to practice doing things with your left hand." and "Have trouble keeping the lint off your black shirts?" ... ??

Really, I was quite amused. I guess I don't consciously know myself as well as I thought. Haha!
(Or maybe that quiz is a nice, farcical waste of time.)
I want to know how you would score KK.

What if the black shirt has a design on it? Still fascist?

"Black shirt" refers to plane military-style uniform shirts that existed in Italy at the time and were favored as uniform shirts be the Fascisti at the time. If the shirt would have had a design on it other than the insignias prescribed and accepted by the leadership, it would have been considered out of code.
Contemporary Fascists still prefer dark colors such as black and gray because they percieve such garments to be "modern" and "militaristic".

What doesn't make sense to me though, is why "black shirts" would be chosen. Wouldn't something along the lines of olive drab or the like be chosen, or modern day, ACU/MARPAT? That seems to be much more militaristic.

It would be considered dishonorable for a civilian to wear the items you mentioned unless the person had earned the right to wear them. (by serving in the military). Same reason any true Fascist does not wear jump-boots. Not too many civilians jumping out of planes these days.

True, very true.
Though, Fascism seems like it would demand conformity and a likely amount of conscription, so if that's present, then it would make sense to have the entire populous wear a type of camouflage.

I got a 2.6, liberal airhead. haha! The thing is though, I'm NOT a liberal really at all, going by the American political definition of a "liberal". Hmm, I have no faith in the validity of this test.
