Somebody, please explain to me.
Who gave the Taliban night vision?
I'll fight after supper, but
It feels like a circumcision
given with an uppercut.

Well well, that's a decent rhyme to be given in a statement.
Are you by chance really having to fight the Taliban with them having night vision?

How much of their weaponry is that crap the CIA provided for them in the 1980's when they were fighting the Soviets?

Corpsey - Yeah, some of them have it and they want us to know. Last night when we were dismounted, one of them lined up an infared laser on the other squad leader's chest just to intimidate us.
Ben - None of it is old U.S. equipment. Most likely, they withdrew after the last big firefight to Pakistan for Ramadan and picked up some new stuff while they were there.

Someone should tell them to stop being such insufferable assholes.
I bet that would solve the problem.

That's an excellent suggestion! Why don't you write them a letter telling them that, sugar tits?

Why didn't the damn things have self destruct in the design? It only takes one button and one extra wire to bypass the current limit resistor. Press the switch and ZAP! The electronics is fried into useless microscopic slag.

HP, why would terrorists (or anyone for that matter) buy weapons that self-destruct?

They have night vision goggles because independent military suppliers don't give a damn who they sell to as long as they make their bottom line. Also, there's this thing known as the Internet, and there are these sites called eBay and Amazon, and they ship internationally.
And putting self-destruct on equipment is the dumbest thing I've ever heard of. There's all sorts of ways that can go wrong and cause damage, not just out on the field, but during assembly and shipping. Not to mention how it would interfere with the item's functioning.

I think everyone understood that I made this thread as a joke (several months ago, by the way), but if you really want to...

International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) is a set of United States government regulations that control the export and import of defense-related articles and services on the United States Munitions List (USML). These regulations implement the provisions of the Arms Export Control Act (AECA), and are described in Title 22 (Foreign Relations), Chapter I (Department of State), Subchapter M of the Code of Federal Regulations. The Department of State Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC) interprets and enforces ITAR. Its goal is to safeguard U.S. national security and further U.S. foreign policy objectives.

When do you come back to the USA? Obama was saying he is bringing all the soldiers back home on television.
