It's so gorgeous outside AND it's Friday.
I don't even know what I'm doing today, but those two things combined should make the whole day great

Derping through the woods at midnight while listening to Shadow Project. Thought I'd go off the paved trail into what appeared to be a small clearing, but half a mile in found myself in a maze of felled trees to jump over and thorn bushes to crawl under, instead.

5km stroll with good friends and crossing the finishing line holding hands with a 2 year old (not my two year old who slept the entire way). Lunch in the park and Mr Bat cooking a BBQ for dinner. Getting a bunch of flowers (I never get flowers), chocolate, and everyone saying how hot I look (Maybe it was because I was carrying an electric blanket with a really long extension cable - who knows??)

Discovering not one, but three baby bunnies on my nightwalk! All about the size of my hand, while I also watched the fluffy goslings eat pink flower petals that were falling down from trees.

Happy to report that my Mother's Day was all around spectacular!
My girl + I went to Mass and after she was done with Sunday School we went to Starbucks for Fraps and shared an egg salad sandwich.
Came home and spent the rest of the afternoon cuddling + watching TV together. She's having seasonal allergy problems so didn't want to do anything else.
When I got bored of TV, I brought out my new camera to play with! It's a Canon Rebel T3i. Came bundled with the 18-55mm kit lens in addition to a 55-250mm zoom lens.
For the rest of this evening I shall be posting some of the pictures from today to flickr + facebook, and I might share a couple on here too. Also will be sipping on Jagermeister.
I am a very happy kitty!

Woot!! awesome news hun.
Porl - I found a babybunny - it was in the laundry dead. Our small tabby cat had killed it and bought it into the laundry through the window. - the bunny was 1/2 the size of the cat... man I was pissed with the kitty.
She also bought in a field mouse, which escaped into the rest of the house, and ran into babybat's gumboot, so I picked up the gumboot, took it outside, released the mouse and then sat and watched the cat do the "Oh my where has that mouse gone," dance for 10 minutes until she gave up.
The other cat only catches dragon flies and then proceeds to eat them with a look of "It's okay, I'm going to eat this just so I can prove how bad a provider you are fruitbat, because you are a very very bad catfeeder because you only feed me 30 times a day" (this cat likes fresh biscuits out of the packet, so I have to sprinkle the old biscuits with 3 or 4 fresh biscuits.)
Yes I'm procrastinating, trying to find another word for dictatorship that fits in my writing... but it's not a dictatorship...braincrash!

Aww, that poor baby bun bun I'd be pissed off too. And saw a field mouse last week also, which was super teeny and cute. Though even so, I would still love to have a cat of my own sometime. My best friends cat letting out an addictively distraught mew, when squeezing the tip of her tail from behind.

Ah bunnies are feral animals here, but I wasn't very impressed cleaning up the dead bunny. Said a few words as I gave it a buriel.
Don't get a cat... They just sit around all day and plot and plan about ruling the world and about how humans will continue to be their slaves.

Going to a drum circle under the night sky to the smell of burning sage and 50+ drums going at once made my day last night!

Speaking of Bats Day, here's 3 things that also make me happy:
The book is one I found in World of Disney (a store in Downtown Disney) & is basicly a behind the scenes of the ride & movie, the mag is the fall 2009 issue of the Disney fans mag Disney 23, & the cd is the cd version off the 1969 Disneyland Records Storyteller album of the song & story from the Haunted Mansion (I give it a spin during October. Did I mention I found it for $10 at Wal-Mart?!).

Awesome finds! I'm a huge aficionado of Disney's Haunted Mansion and as such will implore everyone here to buy the video game too . You can find it used for roughly $2-$5 used at gamestop for the PS2 or GC; and I love it. While also, on my nightwalk today I got to see a couple cute caterpillars of gushy and fuzzy forms; plus three of the baby goslings cramming themselves all at once under their mothers wing. Sort of like how me and my brother as toddlers struggled for mothers cuddles in bed. *too exhausted to type properly*

What's made my day? The news that my mum's cancer has shrunk by around 40% after only half the prescribed chemo . They are going to do the whole six cycles and fingers crossed, it should shrink even more. FUCK YES.

Bwah-hah-hah-hah-hah-hah-hah! Way to go!
Saturday was Free Comic Book Day, so I stopped into my local shop and picked up a few things ... including a free copy of a new issue of The Tick (man, that comic makes me laugh) and Locke & Key (since there's a pilot based on it that's been made that may become a TV show this fall.) And they must have gotten a bajillion copies of Atomic Robo because they were encouraging everyone to take a copy of that ... so I did. I have no idea what it's about.
They also had a ton of movie posters for PRIEST, but I'm on poster overload at my house, so I try not to bring any more home. I gather there's a ton of them out there, so if you're interested you might check your local comic shop.
