I'm having fun taking pictures of myself, but I'm not so lame so that I haven't figured out that every camera nowadays comes with a built-in... *drum roll* timer! No bloody arms or weird angles in my photographs.
On the other hand, I'm not emo so I really don't know why I even answered. Maybe because I like to bitch about emo's.

Darn! How could I not realize!? My digital camera has a timer! And all these months I have been showing the world too much of my lovely arms. . .

You can't be racist..against Emo's. I see where you trying to go...but please use the correct word XD.
I myself have no problem with Emo's or scene kids as long as they don't annoy me.

I hate the incorrect terminology bit too...someone once posted an anonymous message to me "Are you proud to be emo?" I wanted to tear my hair out.
The main reason, I think, that people scene guys are so attractive is because of the hair and the eyeliner. I think if you gave them normal haircuts and wiped off the makeup, more than half of them would be merely average-looking.
Thusly arriving at my point: All guys should wear makeup.

I always thought emotive was spelt with an I not an E...maybe you should check where you are getting this information from.

Emo is dead! All that remains now is its trendy mainstream counterpart; the very thing the original scene was formed to get away from.
Oh yeah, and I'm getting very pissed at how hatred towards emo has become a trend. Now even crappy bands with elements of emo in their music (see MCR) are bashing it!

No, I just checked a dictionary...."imotive" is not a word.
e·mo·tive /ɪˈmoʊtɪv/ Pronunciation [i-moh-tiv]
–adjective
1. characterized by or pertaining to emotion: the emotive and rational capacities of humankind.
2. productive of or directed toward the emotions: Artistic distortion is often an emotive use of form.
[Origin: 1725–35; emot(ion) + -ive]
Not trying to make you look bad or anything, Metabolik. I just thought the actual definition of the word used to describe the topic would help the discussion.

I dont like emos. Being a devout punk i feel obligated to beat em up. Damn pansies. But seriously, I hate it when people think they are part of a subculture because they dress the part but know nothing aboout the music. Especially when a kid wears a Fall Out Boy shirt and says he's a punk. Its always to me been more about the music than the fashion. Music comes first.

It perturbs me when everyone says such things about emo kids in a sincere way, when years ago they said the exact same things about goth kids. Did you guys enjoy it when everyone made such assumptions and jokes about goth kids? I don't think so, so why are you doing it to emo kids just because a group of people screwed them over, too?
|
AMEN! I belive that if anybody from any group could cut themselves. Yeah sure, gothic kids could cut themselves, but so could a cheerleader. The happiest person in the world could cut if they wanted to. If you're going to do it, it doesn't make you emo. It just makes you a person who cuts.

Once again, a quick glance at this thread is making me think once more of all those people that try to have "a twisted mind" and to be "frightening" because the boobs don't understand that its supposed to come naturally....as in....it's not because you listen to "punk princess avril lavigne" or say "ooo i love MCR" when you're on the CHEERLEADING squad.

Wow, reading through this thread was. Enlightening... :|
I just always refered to the 'scene' kids, as I guess they are properly called, as emos. Now I'm rather scared, because I see too many of them and they are scarier than I thought.
And the fashion is so diverse, how can you tell the differance between them and a Goth at a glance? Especially in a club setting. :|
This has shattered my perfect little world, I hope you are all happy. I am one scarred babybat now.
