It's fucking gorgeous outside!
Perfect weather for going to the zoo, or rollerblading, or getting shitty.

I just giggled uncontrollably when I thought about the CC action figure with roller blades.

REALLY?!?! That's cool on so many levels! I'm glad you think the guy is quality. I'm glad you think she's going to be happy. I'm glad she's reached a point where she's optimistic about the outlook of being bonded to a guy for (in theory) the rest of her life, and that the concept pleases here.
I hope they have years and years of love, happiness, mutual support and most important of all, friendship.
So, one of the toughest questions in your world could be 'what does a dutilful, loving son get his mom on the occasion of her marriage?' I know I would struggle with that a bit. I suspect the answer isn't necessarily about money, but I bet there are a few genuine and sincere things you could do that might make them both happy. Have you given this any thought?

Coming up with this really dark and swampy guitar riff on my 7 string for Vinces music project. It sounds like a monsters footsteps stomping through the sludge as if from a moonshine induced nightmare !!!.

As obvious as it sounds, I experienced the realization that two people cannot be one in the same. The heart can cheat the mind into searching for absolute compatibility, but uniquely, we are alone in the world and no one can take that away from us.
No one can love or understand you like you can, take that and shove it up their asses.

Getting most of my cleaning done for tomorrow. I hate cleaning, even when there's not much to do.

Got my tickets paid for. Going to see a fresh 35mm print of Starship Troopers on the big screen at Alamo Drafthouse Cinema tonight with all audience members getting participatory cap guns and in-theater LIVE PYROTECHNICS! YAY! I can't wait!
Action Pack Houston - STARSHIP TROOPERS
I love the way the Drafthouse doesn't just show movies ... it makes them an event!

One of the guys I work with had a day off today, but he popped in to show everyone his little Pug puppy.
OMFG. IT'S TOO CUTE!
She headbutts you and tries to bite your hair, and she's got a head like a little cannonball and a cheeky little monkey face! EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!
I had to restrain myself from scooping her up, hiding her in my bra and pugnapping her

Today while I was walking home from the store, I saw this woman with this handicapped kid walking some ways away from me. She would clap and make gestures to keep him focused on walking.
Eventually I caught up to them, and I noticed what I did not expect.
Despite the kid stopping every other moment to look at something, the woman was smiling and seemed happy.
It made my day to see that despite being in a situation that many would consider tough, she had the energy to smile.

Finding this Muppet Show Theme Song remake featuring OK-Go, and of course ... the Muppets.
It nicely parodies OK-Go's previous music videos, has some interesting special effects (I like the part where the Muppets are seen controlling the band members like they are puppets) and a few moments of wicked humor.
It's worth your time.

A few months ago while searching online I found all six episodes of Tim Minear's prematurely cancelled Fox television series "Drive" starring Nathan Fillion, including the two unaired episodes. I got into that show immediately, so the cancellation after only 3 nights was particularly painful, and I never did get to see the final 2 filmed episodes.
Using free software to convert the AVI files to DVD format and burn the DVDs complete with episode selection menus, I am watching a Drive mini-marathon this weekend, and that's made me happy.
The quality actually looks pretty good on my TV. It turned out that printing the DVD case cover sheets was more difficult than burning the DVDs!

I just realized that my side part makes me look kinda like Rozz and that makes me happy. Maybe that's who I'll be for Hallowe'en?

I've been to Denmark this weekend after not seeing my boyfriend for 4 months. Good times were had, and we went to the Medieval festival in Horsens. Medieval festival in Denmark = DEAD THINGS EVERYWHERE. MEAD EVERYWHERE. FOOD EVERYWHERE.
Incidentally I came back with some naaaice goodies. My bed will definitely be warm this winter with the big curly sheepskin I now have. Father thought it looked great for a caveman/ barbarian outfit, espescially when teamed with the finnish racoon on his head. The pictures are alarming.
ALSO, my boyfriend is an amzingly talented dear, and made me a beautiful plum cashmere cloak. A short bum length ( I hate long cloaks ) half circle closed cloak, or effectively a long hood since you have to pull it on due to it not opening at the front ( just one solid circle of fabric)
We edged the hood opening with an antique mink he had lying about, which we cut into 2 strips and attached.
So I am a VERY happy bunny indeed

Happy birthday Houston! Today, the city officially turns 175. It was back on August 30, 1836 that the Allen brothers bought 6,000 acres of land along Buffalo Bayou and named the area ‘Houston’ after General Sam Houston.
(Just don't expect me to stick around for number 200. I can't do another 25 years in this climate. And I mean climate in every sense of the word.)
