Sorry. No pics. :<. Can't get them to upload for some reason, so a description is in order. Purple and blue lights in the windows, black lace curtains, cobwebs on the door. Bat flag with red glowing eyes. Phosphorescent tombstones on the porch. Hanging bat light over the porch. Candy in a cauldron in cat/bat baggies. You know, the usual. Dressed as a vampire undertaker (finally decided what to be). Didn't think I was THAT scary. Finally got fed up and just set the cauldron on the porch. Then people started knocking on the door and asking if the candy was for them!!! Felt like saying, "No. Actually it's for the next genius who comes along and can figure that out on their own."
No. Not really sweet. May be getting too cynical, however, but thanks.

Your reply was completely called for. *applause*
And the description doesn't sound too horrific to me. I hope you can get the upload fixed, sometimes it's all about -seeing- the atmosphere of the place.
Good night!

I had a sum total of 2 trick-or-treaters come to my door. Two mid-teenish girls who didn't bother to put on a costume. I held out our candy bowl and they each grabbed a handful. I didn't complain because I put the dish out there and we weren't really expecting to see too many kids anyway - last year we had none.
But then the same two came back not 5 minutes later and said, "Oops, we've already been here!" And they turned around and walked back down the hall. Either they were hoping someone else would answer the door so they could score again, or they were officially the winners, with a last minute entry, of the "Who are the dumbest people Ben has met this month" award! Hooray for them! Yeah!!!
Watched "Van Helsing" on BluRay plus both Ghostbusters movies on the 46 inch tv, then walked my dog at midnight and enjoyed the full moon! (-:
Tomorrow the Packer game is at 3:00pm, so we're going down to the club early and playing some Zombie Fluxx before it starts!

I soooo wish. The closest I got to a 'cemetery' this year was the one I put on the porch. (The one that the halloweenies - as we call them here - refused to come around because it "scared" them. Oh well. At least I learned something yesterday. I learned why we call trick-or-treaters halloWEENIES here).

My friend has been hosting Sunday Night Cartoons as the independant media center for a couple weeks and I finally made it out there. About twelve people showed up, and it was a good mix. We ate some cereal and watched a bunch of Voltron, He-Man, Jem, Captain Planet... it was funny as fuck. I finally have something to look forward to at the end of the week besides hoping I don't get carded in the beer garden.
