They're made by Brachs ... or at least they were. They're becoming increasingly rare, and seem to be available only in larger, bulk packages. I couldn't find a place that wasn't sold out, but have to admit I only clicked on a couple of links.
"A&W Root Beer Barrels Candy" by Brachs - Google Search
I've also had the Dad's Root Beer hard candy ... they're pretty good too.

Now that I remembered they exist, I'm really tempted to devote myself to finding a place I can order them from. >.>

I just got to spend some time with a friend of mine who I went to high school with. She ended up moving to France to teach English, and met her husband at a Christian retreat. Now they live in the Czech Republic.
It was good to see her, her husband, child and mother for a cup of coffee today.

I got a job where they said they'd pay me ten bucks an hour. That's a shitload of money where I live.
Today they tell me they're actually paying me 12 bucks an hour. I can rent a decent place with that difference!

That's very, very cool news, Alan. I'm happy for you.

That is some kick ass news, Jill!
I think I aced my Psych test. Not that I'm bragging on my own brilliance, but the test was easy because the teacher....is stupid.
Also, my Math teacher likes me enough to give me leeway on some assignments that I somehow over looked(got the last done today). My A&P Lab teacher got me a password a couple of weeks ago that gives me access to extra study aides, (because he rocks!) and my A&P Lecture teacher can pronounce my full name correctly(also, she's a redhead that is hot as fuck!)
Life is pretty freakin' sweet.
ETA~ Also, I made an 80 on my A&P Lecture exam when a lot of people were making grades in the ranges of 50s.

Jake did exceptionally well on the DLAB, you need a 110 to qualify for the top tier of languages and he got a 119, not too shabby for someone running on 2 hours of sleep.

A store near me started selling Dad's Oatmeal Cookies!
I can bake, but this school year is already nuts, I'm getting lazy when it comes to baking and cooking.

My god.
I had some friends on Facebook (christians) that mistook a photoshopped pic of goatse in the sky as evidence of their all loving god.

I finally caved into peer pressure and signed up for Rdio.
This decision was immediately followed by four hours of "Terrible Music Time" then by my lunch break, and then three hours of "Awesome/Terrible 80's Night". I participated in more impromptu dance parties than I can actually remember. I'm pretty sure at one point I repaired a customer's phone while 10 people sang Whitney Houston in a circle around me. My FitBit says I burned over 6,000 calories today, just from jumping around.
I got paid for every minute of it. I work with the best people.

That's awesome wolf moon! We used to have impromptu dance parties at my former employers too! Mainly The Body Shop then later and much less often at the Barnes + Noble Cafe.
Having some muscle relaxers or something would really make my night. I tweeked a muscle in my lumbar region and it occasionally spasms and going up and down stairs or attempting to put away dishes or walking for more than a couple minutes at a time is hell. But this isn't whining thread!
What made my day? hmm.... printing out fun Halloween crafts to put together and watching my dog roll around in the grass like a maniac. And this rum + coke is pretty fucking awesome too.

Woohoo Jake.. I always do well on exams with less sleep - I think it's the fact that all you can think about is sleep and you are too tired to doubt if you got the answers wrong.
Thanks for the congrats.
Making an epically awesome birthday cake for Mr Bat's shit-you-are-getting-old birthday. Took me 8 hours to do it (yes it was the rainbow cake and I only had one cake tin) - so it broke down into 2 hours of baking and 6 hours of "aw craps", but it was the only surprise I had for Mr Bat, and he was taken aback that I'd dedicate an entire day of my life to make his birthday cake.
But hey when your a fruitbat and your day consists of hanging around in trees all day, what else are you going to do but break into Saya's house and utilize her kitchen to do some cooking (sorry for the mess there S and yeah that stuff that looks sus....well it is... very sus, I'd get the bioharzard guys in to deal with it.)

Discovering "Fringe" and watching the first 3 episodes so far. The USA site only has the first season available to watch, but I like it!
