Seriously! I've definitely heard of Peter Murphy (come on now), and have a couple Bauhaus albums, but I did not know he was a Sufi Muslim. *shrug* As I've mentioned in my intro thread, the reason I'm here is to learn more about the subculture and especially the music. That said, I was definitely under the impression that the subculture also had a strong literary component, and the aforementioned architecture definitely served as the setting or inspiration for a lot of things Goths hold dear.
Then again, in many ways, I'm pretty new to this, so I have no qualms about shrugging my shoulders and admitting to being a clueless idiot. I am here to learn. And be flamed. Those two go hand in hand.
So, Monti, how do we all join this EGO organisation? Whose image do we chant at? And how do we survive Judgement Day while looking every bit as polished and dapper as the people in those pictures?

It doesn't matter if Peter Murphy is a Muslim or Eva O is a born-again Christian, Goth doesn't have any direct connection to any religion.
