I never really thought about my own body image untill I was fifteen and my parents made me see a shrink, because they thought I had problems, little did they know they were the cause of my problems but that's for another day.
I really did find a few things out about myself, I have never really been into sports or anything like that so instead of working out and getting fit I used to stick my fingers down my throat, and I did this for six years (Working out the maths for you I started at 9) and I didn't see it as a sickness and I didn't understand why I did it.
Untill I watched my mother one day talking with my sister, who also made herself sick in the name of images, and they were discussing their diets and how they were putting weight on which niether were but should have.
I watched all the women in my family (totalling 4 including me) and everyone of them was body consiouse, I was skinny, I had no boobs but I was attractive to the male kind yet I was seemingly programed by my mother who was programed by her mother and possibly so on to keep thin.
After having my daughter I gained an extra 20kg and now I weigh about 75kg and am heavier than everyone in my family and I'm happy with my self now.
No more shrink.

I don't weigh too much, about 110 lbs or so. I do have a nice body, I'll admit that even though I do sometimes think otherwise. I don't think I'm ugly. Some people will find me attractive and others will not. Simple as that. Plus having someone tell you that you are sexy every day really boosts your ego. *pokes body* It's so weird. XD
And congrats to Amethyst on being happy with your weight.

While I was never anorexic or anything, I, too, was unknowingly programmed by my mother who for years would go on diets and such although she was a lot skinnier than me! She used to drink those ridiculous Slim-Fast shakes although she was probably less than 120lbs! Now she's like skin and bones and really needs to gain weight, but she says she can't eat much because she's always stressed. That's probably why she got osteoporosis, from not eating enough.

yeah. I hate just about everything about my body right now. I just had a kid 3 months ago, and my belly's still a lil jiggly, and my hips are friggin huge. I mean, it could be worse, but it drives me friggin crazy. One good thing is, with my first daughter, Janie, I lost my ass, now wit my new daughter, Jessi, I got it back.

I hate to say this here, but I was inspired to try harder and in return I am losing weight faster than before! I need a new belt, because the one I have now apparently will not hold up my pants while walking thru Safeway when my arms are full of shit, not even when I walk past a group of women. They just drop. Don't get me wrong I'm happy about it, but as a rule I don't just drop my pants for anyone, and I did, for everyone. >_<

I actually hate my body...Although I've been given many cards and oppoturnities to do modelling, I never liked my body really. Alot of my friends love my figure..But I wish it was fuller. I actually get pretty upset when anyone calls me by my Nickname *Twiggy* or *St Twiggy* it really bothers me...I stare in my mirror, and I'm reminded of the little bitches who called me anorexic, and I stare at my legs that are unnaturally long for my age.
And when It comes to finding clothes, I usually have to wait weeks for them to bring a size XXS or XS so yeah..No advantages when it comes to finding clothes.
Ok, rantings done *disappears in a cloud of wonka dust*

Growing up, I always felt so ugly and I hated for anybody to take my picture or even look at me. As a little kid, people would make fun of me for so many things; "dookie green" eyes, "boofy" hair, too many freckles, and being chubby were among them. Even my own mother was always vowing that one day, she'd get me plastic surgery so I'd be able to look- not even pretty, but just okay.
Now, I'm older, and I'd love to be able to afford a breast reduction. Affordable DDD bras are hard to find, and breasts that big hurt your back. Being too poor to go to a dentist, I'm just hoping that I have some teeth left when I'm thirty. I've never been able to lose enough weight to feel positive about myself. I don't need to be thin, but I don't want to be this heavy. Going down about six sizes would be awesome.
I'd prefer that the bags under them get lost at the airport, but I've come to like my eyes. I learned a few years ago that they are actually hazel, and if I'm happy, they turn this bright golden color. I was always too miserable as a kid for it to happen.
I've also come to think my nose isn't so bad. I realized one day that my nose is the nose my mother had pre-plastic surgery, and I'd always thought she was pretty.
So at least there are a couple of things I like. I used to spend a lot of energy hating my looks. Even if I don't embrace them, at least I've come to accept most of my physical traits... and that's not bad.

that's the one thing i never understood about you. you would always complain about how you were fat. you would show me pictures of yourself and say stuff like "Look at my fat ass". And i would look and i never saw it.
I never thought you were fat. So you're not a size 28 waist. So what? you always looked good in ever picture that i saw. I don't know who told you you were fat that made you think that, but they were wrong.
I mean, was your weight affecting your health, cause you wern't obese or anthing.
I don't know. You looked fine to me. you looked fine to everyone else that saw your picture or know you in real life...Hope you someday finally look fine to yourself.

What I'm afraid of is that when I have kids someday I'll lose my big boobs. My mom said hers were pretty big, but after my brother and I she has these teensy A-cups. I don't want my boobs to go!

i spent so many years abusing my body with drugs i was dangerously underweight but still felt compelled to lose weight as i wasnt a size aus 8-10 like my friends, but then again i'm six foot!
it wasnt untill i had my son and gained thirty five kilos (approx 60lb) that i realised the extra weight was actually benefitial to my health.
i kept most of the weight on but in the last 4-5 months i've managed to loose another 10 kilos. yipee!!! working in a kitchen 50-60 hours a week, running aroung after a 4 year old and lots of beer time will do that to you.
but to those younger girls, i hope you find peace within yourselves, it took me over coming a lot of obsticals and a lot of years but i found just being happy and yourself will get you laid a lot more than a anorexic/obese chick with body issues.
i might still be curvy but the boys are cueing up much more than they were in my waifish days!!! yay for me!!!
we'll that was all inspirational wasn't it?!? SOB SOB SOB, pass the tissues.

My Mama, too!! And to make things worse...I've noticed that my boobs are getting bigger! MY GOSH! Having D cups when you're 16 sucks, especially now that I've lost weight. I have an even better figure now, and my boobs are like, "Hey, lets get even huger so as to attract more attention!"
I DON'T WANT SAGGY BOOBIES!
(Just a note: I'm not being conceited. I've known for a while that I am a pretty girl, but after almost 17 years of receiving annoying complements and the often "Oh my gosh! I'm so jealous of you!" remark, I'm finally starting to accept that fact. ::sigh:: )

i've never heard of that happening before! how can they get smaller? i mean, arn't they gentically predisposed to be a certain size. When you're pregant, they get bigger and then go back to their normal size, right?

Kids. They suck the titty right out of you. Don't get me wrong, it's a fair trade off, I love my kids to death, and I loved my wife's knockers when they were the pert 32C's of teendom, the massive 32D's of motherhood (picture 90lbs, 5ft 3, and a set of yummy D's) and even after motherhood, the pretty A's. It's all good. Size matter's not as much as the person attatched to them.
So yeah, it's not only possible, it's very common.

Grr, I guess I'm just doomed and will have to get used to the fact. At least I probably have quite few years left to enjoy them- my boyfriend doesn't wanna get married until he's at least 25 and he's 21 now.

Wow....I was reading a few pages back and EE left the most awesome complement for Soul. No one gets complements like that too often these days. Or in any days actually.

And ofcorse my hair, I've bleached and colored it so many times, now my hair's like damamged and dead lots of it even fell out..
I just cant seem to lose that last pound.
My boobs, theyr soft, I want more perky boobs. :|
I want a bigger arse.
I dont like my nose.
My eyes get dark circles from not sleeping.
I have misshapped hands and feet (i need my hands to be more feminine looking).
I like being a shorty but I need to be like atleast 3inches taller..
I guess the only thing i can appreciate is my narrow waist, and proportionate hip..
Oh and i want my shoulders to be more narrow as well..
Oh fucking LORD! have such inferiority complex issues.. strong anxiety usually in large gatherings.. paranoia.. list goes on..

I knew there were plenty of downsides and sacrifices of having children but I didn't want to know that. :-(

Actually, breast size after childbirth is more directly linked to whether you breast feed or not, than it is to simply being pregnant.
I breast fed my son, and my breasts were actually bigger after I finished nursing..
But I also have friends who lost a cup size or two after nursing their babies..
However, it certainly is NOT as high of a percentage as Courtenay said, by any means.
Every woman is different, and pregnancy effects every woman, differently.
So ladies, stop worrying about your Funbags..
They will probably be just as FUN after childbirth..
Oh and Punk?
Congrats on the bigger DirtyPillows!!!
Now share one of those monster breasts with me..
I just need one of them..
With some duct tape and some KrazyGlue, I will be a C cup in no time..

For a while, I was becoming heavily concerned at the prospect of becoming fat, becoming chubby, gaining weight... or anything tied to those sorts of changes. Recently I took a photo of myself and was contented to see that I'm more or less misguided in these fears.
Here is the photo in URL form to spare most of you reading this thread the experience of seeing me with my shirt off: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...c/DSC00276.jpg
I'm not sure why I keep getting scared of getting fat, but that's definitely among one of the more strongly felt ones. Another is the trouble of my acne, but that one is one shared by my parents as well.
