ooh, Absynthe do you know where I can find a big copy of that?
I think the highlight of my day today was getting coffee and going shopping with a friend.

Woot we found out what Jake's new car insurance rate will be and it dropped by about 60% as he is turning 25 and one of his tickets just dropped off, still not close to my insurance but not bad and the extra cash will be nice.

I think I have a pet spider, or at least a friend spider. Time and again this one spider after my family goes to bed and I'm all alone comes out to see me. I've been feeling rather bored and sad tonight and was watching a movie, when right in front of my left eye on a trajectory to the floor slowly lowering itself, was the little spider, like it was trying to grab my attention. It cheered me up a bit actually. I must admit, I talk to the spider sometimes. Some people talk to dogs or cats, I don't have either, but I do have a spider, so I talk to it.

I suppose I should give it one, but I'm never quite sure if its always the same spider, I really should work on identification, but I fear if I were to try and capture one I might interfere in it's life cycle somehow. Like for example what if I were to catch when it was already starving and was looking for food, and I stop it from hunting just long enough for it to starve to death. Besides, I think it's fine with the current arrangement.
Still though it's something to think about.

I think there are two actually, but one of them seems stuck up in a ceiling corner, and hasn't moved from there in quite awhile, but hasn't come down. I wonder do dead spiders fall down?

I'm sure they do. I saw a live spider fall from the ceiling a month or two ago.

Getting a callback from the local homeless shelter about volunteering. I refuse to look back with bitterness at part-time employment when somebody finally hires me for reals, with nothing to show for it but a hard-drive full of crap written stoned in my pyjamas. And it's been a while since I did anything like that, which is kind of not cool for someone who spends as much time as I do bitching about social injustices.
Also, first seven volumes of the Preacher comics are due to land on my doorstep in the morning. Then it's off for a toke with some friends - god love 'em given that my usual dealer's fucked off on his holidays.

Awww. This plus thoughts not far removed from these make me wish I weren't so viscerally petrified of spiders.

not destroying any techonology this month.
Last month within a three week period I managed to:
Destroy two iphones that I'd only had two weeks, by running over them with the same car.
Nuke my lappy hard drive and lose some of my writing.
Fry two Ipods.

ANTIQUE IBEX HORNS! THEY ARE MIIIIIINNNNEEE!
Now for a wide headband base to fit them to. I cannot seem to find head-dress bases for love nor money. No combination of words on ebay or etsy throws anything up <_< What the fuck do brazillian carnival dancers make these things out of?

That's a compliment?
People used to tell me that I looked like Morticia when I first joined(I still get people telling me I look like Angelica Huston).
WE could be interwebz family!

I decided to take it as a compliment, anyway. I think it was intended to be more in the "smart remark" category. But I was worried my toned-down work wardrobe wasn't gothy enough!

Depends on the size. I have a dead huntsman that has been hanging on teh wall in the hallway for almost 12mths. I'm waiting to see how long it takes for him to drop.
And sometimes, spiders will just sit in a spot for awhile.

Dinner turned out quite well, I did get distracted and forgot to make the corn but honestly the meal didn't feel like it was missing anything. Jake's sister is somewhat of a green-bean snob and she said mine were some of the best she has ever had, I just wish I had made more of them.

Having my Bass closer to being tuned is making me happy, as is listening to Voltaire.

Impressing the person I talked to during my admission test.
I showed her a picture I "repaired" (I removed an entire person)
