Like I tell everyone who is thinking of dying their hair black: Make sure you're ready for the commitment. You should ask yourself a couple of questions before making your decision.
~Do I want my hair black for a long period of time?
~Will I grow tired of the black? Am I prone to excessive mind-changing?
~Do I want to wait a long time before I can experiment with other colors?
~Will I have the money to have my hair stripped, if I decide the black has to go?
Even Level 2 black hairdyes are pretty permanant. Black is hard to get rid of, and you can't dye over it.
With that being said, if you do decide to do the black, I would suggest picking up some blue-black hairdye, instead of opting for 2 seperate dye jobs. I dyed my hair blue-black about 3 years ago and it faded pretty quickly. That's a good thing though. The second time I went black, I used jet black.. and well, I'm getting it stripped once my mom gets her taxes.
I don't know if it faded the first time because of the fact it was BLUE-black or because of the brand of hairdye... OR because of the previous dye jobs my hair have undergone. No idea. But anyhow.. you should really think about what I said before you dye your hair black. But if your natural color is pretty close to black already, I suppose you won't mind being stuck with it.
Dude.. if only someone had gave me the advice I've given you. Damnit.

? Questionable words and phrases:
"bloned"
if "u" dont like it "do" bad
"wiked"
"mines" (repeat offense)
"stright"
"Mabey"
"red ish"
"desicding"
That's not counting punctuation..

thanks for the advice, but I don't think I'll be changing my mind anytime soon, knowing myself to be reluctant to change. The quest continues when I'm able to scrape some money together, which won't be that big of a problem, due to my imminent birthday. Yay for birthdays.
I'll walk into town to get a look at the different colors available here and get some advice.
Indeed, you're right, my current hair color isn't that different from black, but it's very noticeable, which gets me annoyed when people think it's black. :\
I mean, come on, how hard is it to compare the color my hair with my apparel?

Big mistake: I dyed red over my black hair... It became fine due to alot of hairloss but I created this look in head and I really want to do it. The problem is I need to dye my hair black to get it exactly the way I want! So, basically, i'm treating my hair with hot oils and creams until it gets back to normal!! I completely forgot about the concequences that I would have to face by doing that... How stupid we could get sometimes! *sigh*

Besides applying oils and creams, don't forget to avoid blow dryers, curling irons, and straighteners!!

Wait, are you talking about hair loss/breakage after dying it black? Oh God...been there...I dyed my hair black one time, after many other dyejobs, and let me tell you...it was HORRIBLE. My hair was just being raked out like it was nothing every time I brushed it. In fact, it got so bad that I had to cut it extremely short. Though it might seem really bad, it DOES grow back. My hair (while still short by preference) is nice, thick and healthy. Don't worry.

I believe they say you shouldn't dye your hair more than once every 2-3 months.

I wish I had known all the stuff about dying hair black before I did mine.I was a 12 when I first did it.I have to admit sometimes I regret doing it especially when I see how brittle & thin it's become. But when I've properly conditioned & styled it , it looks rather nice.

Seriously, if he hasn't already faced the firing squad, will someone PLEASE schedule him for execution by hanging/decapitation via piano wire round 6 am this morning? Get it done and I swear I'll bury the body myself and alert his miserable family to his misfortune.
Okay I dyed portions of my hair a nice fushia color, now I'm looking for Cyberlox falls or a "how to make by self" manuel to make my Cyberlox from scratch... any one run across something along those lines?

This is mostly for Xnguela...because the rest of you don't really know what my natural hair looks like....so yeah. Should I dye my hair dark? Like not really dark, but a medium brown....I haven't had hair that dark since i played a puerto rican in West Side Story

Well I was...but maybe my hair has gotten darker. I mean you saw my senior pics. My hair was definitely blonder then...and naturally. But I haven't really done anything to it, so maybe I'm just growing up and getting not blond.

Why don't you put black streaks and highlights from the insides of your hair? Split ure hair into two peices horizontally and dye the whole bottom black. Then you would have the black and white effect..I think that that might suit your blonde hair the best !!
