Tom, your compliments themselves never cease to encourage me in my writing. I thank you.

tell me what you think of this poem.

What you took away

i am alone
icannot scream
would someone please
wake from this dream
your hurting me
holding me tight
your ripe of my dress
as i start to fight

i hear a buzz
and see my clock
its all just a fuzz
a blur of a memory

my childhood you took away
and became " how could.."
you hurt me thatday
and they found out
its your turn to pay
for the childhood
you took away

Post Life Unnoticed

Thunderous silence
Trickling down the peaceful boat
Sailing in a sea
Resting above a bed
Of thousand bergs, below.
Gulping blocks of time
Lungs reddening by the pace
A lot has been left behind
The waves, erasing every trace.
Wavering pleas echo,
Bouncing off walls of ears shut.
Tumbling
into
a
darkness
despondent.
Uneasy sighs caught at variable levels
Ashes of bones
Showering from the ceiling.
Still plummeting
into a
bottomless
pit.
Spit.
Sit.
Fit.
Countless efforts in vain to fit.
Futility at its best.
To belong.
Grotesque faiths surfacing
A bucket of emotions toppled over a numb head
Cavern deep eyes ablaze
Running breathlessly a film of souls forlorn
a family limping its way to condemnation
The black sheep followed. My existence followed it.
Followed the lathered waves
My weight bolstered by bergs below.
Blankets of stars
Feigning a protection
Stabbing the back with the manifest sheen.
Blink.
Gloss.
Ice cold glare.
Head rocking in gentle hands,
Hands trickling down the nape.
Resting over the silk,
Till throttled.
Gulping epochs of distasteful memoirs
Suppressing sobs.
Sandstorms floating at willful velocity
As I sit on the boulder and life inhale
Watching it fade in the radiance,
The peaceful boat that once did sail.

Well, I agree with the philosophies of Ayer and Camus so I believe there's no afterlife so I don't have any desire to die before my time. I'm relatively happy.

You guys actually make me smile, and I feel like such a dork, just sitting in my room smiling at words on a computer screen. I've always been terrified at the prospect of never getitng published; if anyone at all would be willing to tell me how I can go about trying to get published, I'd very much appreciate any advice, preferably pertaining to how I can turn masses of letters into money. haha

Unfortunately when I merged the poetry thread that Fallen_Angel_Of Resin made, the reply posts following hers were merged out of sequence.

It happens everytime, and it is really irritating..

Mainly because her post makes even less sense now than it did before..

And another
Array of deceitful surprises
Lines up against the door
When the unfelt presence
Compels it to slide ajar.
They creep in
One after another
Surreptitious with each step
Taken in undefined stealth.
My familiar boulevard adumbrates
as shadows lurk in.
In the moment of my ignorance,
Furtively they snake their way
up the landing
into the hideously kindled corner
Where I stand parallel the reflection
Gawking at the element of bliss
Dancing awkwardly in those eyes.
Vaulting at this auspicious opportunity
They obfuscate the dying silhouette.

And another
Casualty lives lifeless.
Her remains packed
in the silk pouch of un-pardoned damnation.
Hollow burrows for eyes
Sinking into unexplored depths, empty by volume.
Caverns erected deep inside
Stalagmite reared
From tears uncried.
And those hanging
Pierce the bloodless soul.
Clouds of black
Encircling the entrails of her throat
Hovering above the lump
Held back in fear.

So again
In the face of every silver lining
Floats the cloud of remorse,
Trailing along still waves
To a vicinity
Where she conceives
an anticipation
and a taciturn oath
To
Survive.

The Big Fat Jerk

My step father was the Warlock that tried to ruin my soul.
Tried to kill my family.
The Dactyl of evil.
The reprentation of all that is evil.
The source of all evil so it was said.
The one that tried to take over.
The fool that tried to become a tyrant.
The one that ruined everything.
He thought he could take over.
He thought he could win.
He was wrong.
He won great battles but lost a great war.
Now he has parished to utter darkness and nothingness.
He is now the king of hell.
Satan's succesor.
Fire and brimstone.
Not a cold day in hell but a very hot one.
An everlasting torment and pain he himself has become.

Puppets in my closet!

The puppets in my closet come out after twelve.
One by one, they march down from each shelve.

With every creaking sound of the closet door.
Fear caught in my throat like gore.

I peer from under the covers to pore.
As they creep gallantly across the floor.

Little people in tiny boots.
Strings attached to all their roots.

Tap, tap, tap, I hear them move faster.
In spite of the absence of the puppet master.

Soon enough they encircle my bed.
And whisper softly the words of the dead.

Unable to budge, I listen in awe.
The genuine darkness I embraced, so pure, so raw.

The moon fades as morning trails bright.
The puppets revert into the closet, out of sight.

A knock on my door, they came in and said…

“Do you still hear those voices in your head?”.

My Pain.

My bodies broke,
my soul is burned,
my mind is gone,
completly turned,

I find the strenght,
to live today,
as dawn draws near,
i can only pray,

Release me from
this endless guilt
Release me from
this pain i felt.

Release me now,
Oh, please let go,
that god may take,
my empty soul.

I block the pain,
as best i can,
i lose my strength,
it starts again.

I start to lose,
my sanity,
from pain i know,
will always be.

I can only wait,
until the day,
that death releaves me,
of My Pain

Epitaph, I think you meant shelf, and pour. Also the line, “of the puppet master” could be better illustrated since *the* puppet master had yet to be introduced at that point.

Other than that, a rather good piece, which I enjoyed. Thank you.

Fallengod667, fway to make a first post. The flow on your piece was flawless, and though it could have went horrible wrong with the trite, angsty subject, you pulled it off. Nicely done. A few notes, in the first line I think you want the possessive of body, not the plural. In the fifth line you inverted the T and the H on the last word. In the twenty-seventh line I think you meant relieves.

this is one of my favourite poems, see if u can see what it's about.

like mother like daughter
I am one of the weak hearted
I take everything thrown at me
And never throw anything back

I cry at night to hide the pain,
From my friends and family and even myself.
No one will know what I hide in my heart
From the human race, not a soul will know

My past I can not see
The torment that I went through
I remember hearing screaming and shouting
And mum lying on the floor

Emptiness that’s what I remember
Her eyes were empty, her soul was gone
She wasn’t there to comfort me
My mummy was stolen from me

I remember looking up and seeing
An angry face that was my dad’s
He did not know that I was there watching
The terrible deed he done to my mum

He shouted at her, she dropped a glass
Her hand was shaking, she couldn’t help it
His temper rose as she trembled more
His hand were raised shouting
“you stupid woman can’t you do anything right”
mum was cowering in the corner
as dad stood before her, fist at the ready
I shut my eyes, I couldn’t bare it, I couldn’t move an inch
Dad was shouting, crashing, mum crying out of fear or was it pain
Suddenly mum stopped crying, dad stopped shouting
I opened my eyes to see, my mummy lifeless on the floor

I never told anyone before
This secret I kept locked away
Dad told me it was a burglar
But I knew the truth

I live in fear day and night
Thinking that one day I will be next
I’m careful not to be like mum, and push dad over the edge

I feel now what mum had felt
Everyday with dad, now it’s my turn
Like mother like daughter
This was the one thing I feared to inherit

umm.. yeah i meant shelf.. thanks for pointing that out!
And 'Pour'< no i did not mean Pour, I meant PORE meaning >>(To gaze intently; stare.)
As for the puppet master... there isn't one. Thats the point.
Thank you kindly for your comment.

The Ties That Bind

As the world spins in the blackness of space
We utter joyous noises from within our endless bounds
The sum of our most benevolent words portray
Glimpses of an alternate reality
A better world an earthly utopia
But cruel the cruel Truth demands audience
Whispering that even in the greenest gardens…flowers die
Looming figures spread disease
Sickness of the mind and of the soul.

Aware of our inevitable mortality
We desperately Stride to leave our mark
But despite our unwavering dedication;
Prof the we once existed is left swirling
Only briefly in our wake.

Time like an endless river flows
As we fall like dead leaves
Off a fading tree onto the water;
We create a faint ripple before residing to the depths.

Constructive criticism is welcomed

I like this one very much..

Exquisitely, painfully, beautiful...

'But cruel the cruel Truth demands audience

'

That right there ^^ is my favorite part, and ironically I relate with those two lines, so very much at this moment, it's painful..

Nicely Bled..

Not many can make me choke up like that..

Good to see you around again..

No one here had your email when the site came back online.

So uhh fix that...:P

Your only a child once, they say
Live it as best you can
People come and people go
You’ll have to understand

Soon you’ll learn promises may be broken
And dreams can come undone
With each day you’ll grow and grow
And you’ll learn... not to run

For no matter what road you chose
Pain will tag along
But one day you’ll stop and realize...
You’ve found where you belong

Life isn’t always easy
You need someone to pull you through
So when the times are at their worst
You’ll know just what to do

I’ve felt love, I’ve felt pain
And I felt a little in between
I’ve done my share of thing I regret,
And said things I didn’t mean

I thought I’d found... forever,
I thought I’d never lose at love
But when ‘forever’ ended
It was a message from above

Telling me someone else was there
Someone to love me more
But I never would have found that out
Had he not opened up the door

There is pain followed by pleasure
And pleasure followed by pain
One leads to sunshine
The other leads to rain

Yet each time you look at me
It like no one else is there
When we talk, I can tell by your words
You really do care

So if everything has a reason for happening
I know everything is leading me to you
I may not be easy for me to say what I feel
But I know... your feeling it too

thank you very much Empty Purple Stars, I'm glad you can relate to it, I believe that Poetry should begin with an emotion in the poet, and end with the same emotion in the reader. The poem is simply the instrument of transference. I have to say that I too have related to two of your lines:

'Your Blood-soaked Laughter

Sings Deeply To My Madness'

Absolutely beautiful!

re: of the past few days.
:a low hum indicating the flow of electricity:
Behold! The loud sounds of the "ruling" class,
all walking egos and tense bodies (with frequent
malfunctions). Lies and cries for attention,
heavy with the gravity of proof. "PROOVE MYSELF.
PROOVE MYSELF. PROOVE MYSELF. PROOVE MYSELF."
One hard shove over the fence, and you'll be
buying bags of candy and a van, patrolling sweet
streets for trips to fractured alleys.
Desperation has a smell, my child. It wafts off
the skin like heat rising off the highway
pavement.
:a click, indicating the end of a recording
session / start of a new one:
Far beyond coated brick walls [stakt cubes upon
cubes], the horizon ends. And all will be blue,
no ground to bind me. Yes, this is just like
swiming and like life on the swing set caught at
the apex of weightless glee. Here is freedom
from the fault lines and abrasive textures of
earth. Moment. Ends. Now.

Another rain of shimmering feathers,
another hope forever broken...
Angels are falling one by one
from the clouds to an endless sea
of blood and tears.

Sun is going down,
and my shadow is making one
with the darkness
spreadind over the world.

Sorry beautiful angel,
but this time i will not help.
Pain has blown light away from my heart
so please, die quietly.

Your eyes are still beseeching me?
It is too late i told you.
My soul is now wrapped,
in a shroud of misery, sorrow and despair
for eternity.

//
my first poetry written in english, didn't think it would be so hard...
(That's why i made it so short ^^')
Any advice is welcomed !!
