The Crow is one of the few subjects still near and dear to my hart. The comics by James O Barr was exelant .The first movie was the best .Wicked preyre was horriable ,city of angels pale lacking in my oppinion.Salvaion was my second favorite. In the words of eric draven "It can't rain all the time." Don't worry i'll be gone shortly.

Have any of you seen the newest monstrosity of a sequel for the Crow?
"The Crow: Wicked Prayer"
It's got the Furlong kid from the Terminator. He puts on his "Crow-makeup" with a Sharpie. I swear.
I watched it, I admit, because it has David Boreanaz in it (Angel, oh yes, it's a dirty little secret of mine)
And somehow, by voodoo or mindcontrol lasers, got Dennis Hopper to play in it. Even he could not save it. His role is ridiculous, his lines are so stupid they hurt.
If you come across this movie, burn it. For the sake of all that is decent and good, burn it.

Hi. Branden Lee would roll over in his grave by the sounds of it... um do we get to eat the left over jelly by any chance? I'm hungry.

The Crow has got to be the most overrated movie in existance. Seriously.
Friends don't let friends look like The Crow.

It's over rated, it's horrible.
...but you gotta love it. It's *hysterical*. He stands there and, in all honesty says "Sometimes..." to the question "Are you a *clown*?" POETRY, people, these are the words the poetry is made of.
Plust I have a wicked Brandon Lee shirt, of him in all of his purple and gold glory. I don't remember him having blonde hair, but apparently, on my shirt he does.

Ok so this is kinda an old thread but i feel urge to post my opinion.
The first crow movie was good. I felt the plot was reasonably good, and the performance the actors gave made it even better.
But the other crow movies were torture to watch. My girlfriend bout both of them and then wished she hadnt. The one with David Boreanez was the worst of the two. The guy that played the crow had no personality and there didnt feel like there was anything in the movie even worth fighting over. David Boreanez gave the best performance and made me side with the bad guy more than the hero of the film.
The other crow movie (i forget the name) was better but was hard to watch after about halfway through. The beginning started out okay but it didnt feel like the herohad enough talent to pull of an entire movie.

Face it, nobody did it like Brandon Lee. He has always been one of my favourite actors. I liked him in Showdown in Little Tokyo and many others.
I agree, the Crow is a GREAT film. Great music, great acting, great plot and very reasonable. It even seems believable enough, though it will hardly happen. Well I think so anyway (being brought back to life), but that would be very nice to do. But...
With the face paint and the black designs and white face, no. Other copying it, no sorry you can't rock the make-up. Eric Draven did not do that by choice.
The make-up used was the white and black his love Shelley used. The mask was a feter and part of what connected him to the world of the living, thus giving him strength and his memories- fueling his anger.
In the second the "other" Crow, used his childs face paint which was something he remembered. Sarah just painted the design used by Draven and also it was a trademark of the film.
It is alright for them but I will sadly laugh at others who paint up their face in such a way. It is just sophmoric unless it is for a purpose such as Samhain/Hollows Eve/Halloween. It was symbolic originally and then became one big joke.
Horrorgirl and Wolfmoon gave me that inspiration. I concur.
I think I will watch the Crow soon.

" Friends don't let friends look like the Crow", was the first thing Wolfie ever said to me when I first joined. A friend back in Texas used me as her project for Theatrical Make-Up class, and had taken several sexzie pics of me dressed up like The Crow, make-up and all..
I posted a couple of the pics in the pic post, and she responded with that. I was crushed..

Gosh that feels like such a loooooong time ago, so funny..
Ahh the Mammaries..
Oh and no other Crow incarnation, beats the Graphic Novel .
James O' Barre is a poet and a superbly tortured writer.
THIS is a nice site done by his fans, with some superb original artwork and fan artwork.
HERE is a decent page with images from the Graphic Novel. Amazing artwork, in my opinion.

Those are hot! Damn! Oh man. I don't even know what to say! Your boobs make me think of two words "Swan dive"...into them. The make-up, the hair, the torn sleeves... that seriously owns. You should dress like that more often. I smell some kinky bed-time fantasy possibilities!

Bruce Lee didn't technically die while filming. He was in the middle of filming a movie, yes, but died after having an allergic reaction to migraine medication. Not on the set as some people seem to think.
Poor brandon died because of the idiots on set not double and triple checking the fucking fire arm that wasn't supposed to be loaded. And his death was so preventable. That's what's really fucked up.
First the idiots use a gun loaded with only half the normal gun powder in the shell but with the slug still in place. They discharge the gun during rehaersals, the bullet gets lodged half-way down the barrel. The next day, without checking the gun, some genius decides to use full powder loads without the slugs. Full powder load + bullet already halfway down the barrel = dead Crow. Poor guy.
