Take all medical knowledge, go back about 1000 years and bestow this knowledge all around the world.

True. They could. Just so long as they adhered to it, I think I'd be fine with the whole burning thing. Then again, I could probably go back just 100 years where it would be considered revolutionary and not witchcraft.

I don't know, so many things could go array... I mean I would love to visit all of the past eras I've taken a liking to, but I have a gut feeling that something would go terribly wrong. Eh, I'd probably end up using it anyway, just to see what happened. Damn my impulsive tendencies.

I would do a time travel of a few centuries doing a bit at a time to make my present day more easy living
E.g Start off with getting clothes ready for each era I go to so I don't look so out of place when I'm there.
Go back with about £100,000 to buy a house in Devon when they were cheap.
Go back to the war time and take some Nazi stuff that would be really rare and auction it off in the future for millions.
Save a friends life
Buy a car when I knew they were cheaper.
Find and clame the tanzanite mounting in Tanzania and become rich from selling the rear-er then diamonds gems.
there's too many things. I could sit here for hours and think of many things to add to the list.
But if I had a choice that I could go back and do two things in my life different it would be to goto a better educational school and actually listen this time and ask more questions
and the other thing would be to stop my brothers friend from going out that night (so it would stop him from getting killed)
Thats all. other then that I'm happy with my life...I guess

I WOULDN'T GO BACK TO CHANGE A SINGLE THING.
THE ONLY THING WRONG WITH THE WORLD AS WE ALL KNOW IT IS IT'S INHABITANTS.
NO ONE WOULD DIE IF THEY WEREN'T THERE IN THE FIRST PLACE. MOTHER NATURE IS BEST FRIENDS WITH KARMA, AND KARMA IS A BITCH. I LOVE HER.
SO, ANY WAY, WHAT I WOULD DO IS GO BACK JUST TO SEE WHAT REALLY DID KILL THE DINOSAURS. IF THEY WERE STILL HERE TODAY, WE WOULDN'T GET ARROGANT TWATS RUNNING AROUND THE PLACE, BECAUSE THEY'D ALL HAVE THEIR NOSES SO HIGH UP IN THE CLOUDS THAT THEY WOULD BE SEEN BY THE T-REXs AND EATEN.
MUCH FUN

Read my quote which supports the "don't change the past" perspective.

Yes I've also heard the string theory. Just pointing out another possibility in a realm full of theories, some backed up better than others, but theories none the less.

While quantum mechanics has had successful experimentation they have never experimented with time travel successfully, we have no solid evidence as to anything of time travel.

Does anyone else realise how pointless the attempts to make money would be if you had a time-machine? You can travel back in time for goodness sake! No need for money whatsoever and whatever money you do earn becomes useless or miniscule the moment you jump time.

It doesn't matter.
But I would say sorry, and change my mind.

Wouldn't this give you a lot of oil, but also ensure a world that never used it, since there wouldn't be any for them to use?

How about go back to Hot Gate on Aug 11, 480 BC so you can die a good death? I'd love to do that!

Go back to the hot gates with a machine gun, grenades, and dominate the persians. I'll be sure to bring armor and stuff.

Then it won't be a awesome event because you'd just win it too damn easy and come out of it alive instead of dead.
