Fashion DIY tips and gratuitous plugs. And hair. Hair! Flow it, show it. Wait...no. That's some hippie musical. Nevermind. |

Yeah, me too.
They are so considerate of me.
I'm thinking I'll probably start. How much did you say they were, and where exactly did you get them?

-sigh-
More people on the road to yellow teeth, clothing that smells of smoke, dull hair, eye bags, empty wallets, and lung cancer.
What is so glamorous about all of that?

I'll make a sort of controversial statement on smoking and cutting:
What do people that smoke find wrong with cutting?
Less people die from cutting than smoking.
People close to cutters get hurt. People close to smokers would get hurt, if smoking weren't so socially acceptable.
Smoking relieves stress; cutting relieves stress.
Smoking is seen as cool; cutting is seen as hardcore.
Cutting is stupid. Smoking is stupid.
Cutting is addictive. Smoking is addictive.
Cutting requires a sharp object. Smoking requires a dependence and submission to a multi-billion corporation which keeps itself alive and thriving.
In truth, is not cutting better than smoking?

In the Funerals thread I created, I described that the majority of the funerals I attended were caused by smoking.
My wife has smoked since she was 11. Now her biopsy of polyps in her colon came back positive for cancer (she is 46).
Please, please, PLEASE do NOT smoke!

Smoking is one of the worst things a human can do to themselves. I really don't understand why one would find smoking ideal -
You willingly let yourself submit to a slow, long death, and during the wait, your life goes significantly down hill.
Yet, every day, people who have not started smoking previously begin lighting up. Can someone please explain this to me?

Humane, I'm so sorry to hear that. I really hope that it was caught early enough that she can recover. I'll be thinking of you guys.

Thanks guys. ::hearts:: But I'll be ok, it's my wife I am worried about. She can barely handle normal stress much less this. But she did it to herself. I tried to get her to quit but she didn't want to, she was addicted, which is why I don't want YOU guys to start!
But for me? My faith has carried me through the loss of a loved one before (my sister, ages ago), so I know when her time comes I'll be ok.

So, clove cigarettes, in the fashion section?
I wasn't aware that cancer-causing cough-sticks were fashionable accessories. Well, to each his own, I guess.
