- Not many good Canadian bands
- Not many good t.v. shows
- We are constantly critisized for the "eh" thing
- Our english is a mix of American English, British English, with a hint of French
- High taxes
- Now we don't even have the tallest free standing building

I could go on, but like I said, still a good country! :P

Aw man, I salute Canada for delivering my three favorite pop culture icons:

William Shatner

Dan Aykroyd

Degrassi (oh yeah, did I ever mention I've been watching this show for years?)

I replied, "Sure, Hot Topic, in the U.S"
The lady looked upset, "I can't go all the way over there. I'll pay you $30 for each." I was totally glad to give them to her because they wer eonly $10 and $12 each. The next day I went to Hot Topic, and bought them again, plus a Living Dead Doll.
Ok, I have two issues with this...first, WHY would your parents be suspicious or worried about you selling your stuff, and secondly, if it's too far for a woman who can afford to dish out that much scratch for a stranger's jewlery to go, how can you afford to go to the US to buy replacements, plus those pricey dolls that run at least $26+?

Hmmmmm....

dreswilla, it's obviously another one of her fabrications. The part about buying them in the US, selling them, and then claiming to go back to the US the next day to re-buy them should be a clear indication that she's full of shit.

I've never before heard anyone brag about being able to go to Hot Topic twice in the same week. And I had hoped I never would.

Oh, well.

Maybe she's just really really young and/or trying to fit in by making all these 'have to prove that I'm a goth' threads.

Perception perception.

My 2 cents. Ok. Need coffee.

I'd imagine the cashier stifling her chuckles seeing you putting that dog collar on, but I'd pay another $5 just to be there and see how the cashier's face looked like seeing you put that collar on! xD

I do lie a lot, but what will I gain by lying online? I used to lie all the time, so my parents don't trust me. They'd think I stole the money and got rid of my jewelry. They think weird. If you met them, you'd understand.

I didn't use the money she gave me to buy the doll. I DO have money you know. Well, I only had another 23$, but my kind Mom always pitches in. Relaly, she spoiles me to bits. Probably because she doesn't want me to run away again.

Cool story! ^^ Not sure about the driving to America part, but still cool.

As for Hot Topic, I really wish people would stop putting it down; for some folks, that's the only place to go that has those kinds of accessories. [Not all of us live in New York or L. A. ]

That's something you should be really proud of, DarkPrayer. No really, you deserve a big pat on the back.

I don't put it Hot Topic down because it's "cool" to do so. I put it down because the stuff there sucks.

Ask the cashier to help you get it on next time to increase the awkwardness.

I don't live in NYC or LA either, and I don't have to go to Hot Topic to get my stuff. Like Valerius said, go to a pet store, buy a collar, buy/order some spikes, and make it yourself.
