The ones viscus suggested are good starting points, but I'd also recommend:

Fields of the Nephilim
The Virgin Prunes
Depeche Mode (more synthpoppy but related)
Joy Division
Alien Sex Fiend (this is deathrock, like Christian Death)

A bit of futurepop/EBM might interest you:
Apoptygma Berzerk
Blutengel
Assemblage 23
VNV Nation
Neuroticfish

Also ambient/ethereal stuff:
Cocteau Twins
Dead Can Dance
Emilie Autumn

Industrial:
Nitzer Ebb
:wumpscut:
Skinny Puppy
Throbbing Gristle
My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult
Einstürzende Neubauten

You might like the Kidneythieves, and perhaps some psychobilly like The Cramps, Nekromantix, or The Creepshow.

That's enough for now. I realize that was overkill, but I couldn't stop.

Did you like the other bands in viscus's list? How about The Cure? Joy Division? Depeche Mode? Other 80's synth bands? I'm grasping at straws here...

You've got a lot of learning to do, young grasshopper. I hope you gain lots of knowledge here. Welcome.
DEPECHE MODE!!!! Welcome

Lacuna Coil and the 69 eyes really aren't in the genre of goth music. Try some Bauhaus. (If you like Bram Stoker's dracula, I'm sure you've heard of Bela Lugosi...if you listen to some Bauhaus, you'll understand the connection i'm trying to make here)
