So I hypothesize that 10,000 is the next promotion. Makes sense.

What would come after Siouxsie? Is there a prize? If not... there should be.

Ha, you're right. XD
But then again.... shouldn't Peter Murphy be the last one? Oh! It should so be Edgar Allen Poe! <3

You know, I couldn't quite dig on The Creatures. They're an acquired taste indeed.

Ehm. Well, I think the whole thing, like when people keep calling themselves stuff after famous people.
I am as gothic as Signe and as un-gothic as Signe and well my wittle sweeties seem to like me anyway.
Personally I do not get why people think Siouxsie is so gothic, sure, her music might be considered goth, though I would say it is more post-punk.
I mean, I find it extremely hard to find truly GOTH music, the kind that is pure gloomy, despairing, dark, eerie... ...And I don't think Siouxsie does that!
The closest to GOTH I have ever found would probably be Sunglasses After Dark's "Morbid Silence".

Signe, there is an "edit" button for when you screw up a post. It lasts for five minutes. Please make an effort to use "edit" instead of double-posting.
Edit: Please and Thank you.

Goth is part of Post-Punk, and you can't really dispute Siouxsie as a Goth icon.
Who said Goth was all "gloomy, despairing, dark, eerie" anyway? I just think of it as theatrical and lugubrious.

Well....actually if you look it up in the dictionary.....
But that doesn't matter anyways. Because the dictionary doesn't account for peoples personalities. XD

Pardon me, but bands like Sex Gang Children and Specimen aren't "gloomy, more overdramtic adjectives to describe goth music, etc" and they are pretty fucking goth (or deathrock if you wanna get all genre elitist...it's pretty much the same fucking genre imo).

I think she might be refering to the dictionary meaning. I don't know. Though I think that the dictionary meaning is more for literature, atmosphere, and building styles. It makes no mention of music, so shouldn't that be us to decided? xD Sioux is goth is my standings!

Goth isn't the darkest and gloomiest music out there, though it must have been considered so when the name was coined. Of course it ranges in emotional tone...
If there is a rank for 10,000, I don't know what it is that could beat Peter. Perhaps Bela Lugosi or something. I predict that either there is no rank change, or that the user reverts back to the initial rank, as I've observed to happen in other message boards.

How about "The Raven" for the rank for people who've reached 10,000 posts.

Too likely I suppose.
You know, we are never going to know till it comes out. I think there will be no next title name. It'll just stay Peter Murphey the whole time.
