No, I was exaggerating for the sake of humour.

But it is true in a sense, if you just get a condom that's strong and the right size, you may as well go for it. Nobody can live their life in fear of what COULD happen. Your computer could blow up, killing you. It's a possibility, the same as a condom breaking. Does this mean that you'll avoid every danger (which is, by the way, impossible)?

I agree on the friendship part. I don't mind people who have many partners, really I don't at all. I think Valerius nailed it on the head. Teens see the media and see other teens that are maybe older than them doing this, and it seems okay to them.
