At Ophelia: Really? I was completely fuzzy on why circumcision is done at all. Still am.

Yeah, I found that out due to that play he was in. Full frontal nudity. Is it sad that that's the first thing I noticed?

Where did you hear that there aren't any health benefits? Every piece of info I have seen on male circumcision seems to show some clear benefits but I haven't done extensive research on the topic

Friendships should be mutually beneficial.............
She really isn't always a bad person and she does try when I bring something up, but things just go back to normal a few days later. I guess that I feel bad for her because I have seen her go through a lot of heartbreak and I feel like I should be there for her. I know that it isn't a healthy relationship and I need to stop forming such close binds with people who cause so much stress and drama. To be honest I really don't care that much about loosing her as a friend but we do have a great deal of mutual friends and I wouldn't want things to be so bad between us that things would be awkward being around each other a lot

There is loss of sensitivity, danger of keloiding, keratinization, PSYCHOLOGICAL DAMAGE..
I understand that SOME men (and/or their partners) prefer to be cut, but that really should be an adult decision. There are so many risks when done on (unconsenting) infants, especially..
It's not even recommended by pediatricians anymore. There are NO health benefits. It's the same as removing a child's eyelid; the glans is a mucous membrane.
The man who started the routine mutilation of infants in the US believed it would stop masturbation, and also believed the clitoris should be burned out with carbolic acid.

Is it more painful to have a circumcision when you're 16-18? If not, and if circumcision does not provide any clear health benefits then it should be a decision that an adult makes for himself.

On a side note, I have nothing to rant about. =D

Infants have been shown to be MORE sensitive to pain, as well as the whole diaper factor, and the fact that anesthesia either doesn't work or isn't administered.

I am trying to remember this movie.. it's similar to the animation in The Secret of NIMH, but the only part of the plot I remember is a chemical/poison truck turned over and made all these cutesy animals really sick...... any ideas?

I'm glad to have gotten it over with. Foreskin is gross as shit in my opinion.
I'm not PSYCHOLOGICALLY DAMAGED- as far as I can tell- either, so no harm done.

OMG this is sooooo fucking annoying.
My sister asks if she can go to a mall with 2 of her friends and my parents say ya sure go rite ahead. THen she asks them about going to some party on saturday, and they are hesitant but they say yes.

My turn. I asked a hundred million times before if i can go to the mall with a lot more than 2 of my friends. My answer is a flat out no. I ask to go bowling for god's sake and they say no.

I cant go any bloody place at all and suddenly my sister is allowed to? It doesnt make any fucking sense!!!! It doesnt make it better that she rubs it in my face. I'm 2 years older than her and a lot more responsible. I should be allowed to go!!!!!!!!

They act like she's their favorite at times. Its sooooooo annoying. I'm not jealous at her, I'm mad at my parents. I'm mad that they dont seem to trust me and keep me home just because they dont like some of my friends, who by the way they don't know, or havent done anything wrong.

I FUCKING HATE THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't think it's gross, but like I said, I prefer men cut.
For me, it's just aesthetic.

Good to know, Disorder.

About the topic of circumcision...

*Discretion is advised based off your maturity*

Well, there are pro's and con's for both. Circumcised men get less sexual pleasure and produce less sexual pleasure to women (theoretically, cos the foreskin is supposed to be like an extra rib... males can only guess and I'm betting it varies).

Circumcised babies are more likely to get genital infections and various minor health problems than uncircumcised infants.

Circumcised men are less likely to get AIDS.

Circumcised men don't have to clean their uhhh parts.

And for me personally, urinating would seem to be a shitload harder circumcised. I prefer a trickle to a firehose.

Yeah. Fuck circumcision. Whole heartily.

Source: The television show, BULLSHIT. Probably biased but it seemed fairly factual at the time that I was watching it.

Ih. I just prefer men however they are happiest with themselves. WHile I agree with Ophie that cut is prettier, such as man-organs can be pretty, what use is the aesthetic if he hates it?

I just realized that the prospect of logging on to Gnet to just read stuff and post shit is currently the only thing that motivates me to come to work.

How sad.

I am spectacularly bored.
Why is no one worth talking to for more than a brief moment on MSN?

How people could survive that hour though is beyond me.

I've read all the books in the house at least twice, so there goes that plan. The internet is proving rather less addictive than usual. Drawing's getting me nowhere, as I appear to be singularly lacking in all forms of inspiration... so there goes writing as well.

Hmm.
Maybe I'll go scare myself with tales of religious fundamentalism and/or the increasing rates of violent attacks perpetrated by youths under the age of 20 in the UK.

Actually, that is totally false. The "studies" that were conducted didn't even take into account the use of condoms.

True, but what about women? Labias can be messy, smelly things indeed.

As for everything else, you are entirely correct.
Personally, I prefer my men intact, but I don't discriminate. I just don't know why someone would have their infant son cut for no medical reason.. it really pisses me off.

I need to do this!

That's it I quit, I've had enough. I'm never going to be in a relationship, what's the fucking point that I try anymore. I am an unwanted punk who likes his music loud, political and comprimising. I've had enough it'll never happen. Never.
