Yeah, but the more you say "I suck!", the more people tell you that you don't.

Hehehe... That's really cool, Disfunction! Actually your drawing style reminds me a bit of a friend of mine's. This was done in paint, right? And I see you like the line shading too, mon ami! I can never get enough of practicing crosshatching with a thin pigment liner (encre a pigment?).
I'd love to see more of those from you. I'm afraid my comic experiments are nowhere near as funny...

Actually, the initial art was done over msn in that write your own message thing. I use it to draw people random pictures, which I later edit in Paint Shop Pro (most position of the words, and sometimes add a background, and that's that.

Okay.. I did some scanning as I have to put together a weak selection of portfolio work (keep in mind half of my stuff is stored right now and all I have is my quick sketch es)...this goes from old to new and is basically silly anime but what the hell...
Timat the Sexy Goth, special power: super cripling pity me angst.
Part one of an unfinished two part 'Thru the Looking Glass' type picture..

for some reason i decided to redo an older image of mine. as though i don't have enough projects going to keep me occupied. *shrugs* it spoke to me so i wanted to reinterpret it. maybe it's the mood i've been in lately. anyway... i combined it with an old poem i wrote about someone i lost years ago. it seemed right, even tho technically the image and the words have nothing to do with each other. but then again, maybe they do, somehow...
this time around i used my own photos for the bricks and concrete, tho you can't really tell through the bluish light, they are real photos. as is the skin texture on the figure.
anyway, i apologize for anybody that may be on dial-up.

Woah! That's awesome.
It reminds me of the horror movie about a videogame for some reason

Maybe its the stark quality, or the hidden face. Or both perhaps..
I really like the poem on there as well. Your writing style is beautiful.
Simply Wonderful though, as always..

WHOA!! I didn't go up far enough to see those..
DAMN you're talented Sanctus. Wow, just Wow.
Those just blow me away..
Are those Ink drawings?
You are going to be amazingly successful, in school and when you finish school.
I swear I am going to be wealthy enough one of these days, to commission a few of you individually to make something wonderful for me.
Amazing..

Wolfie... no not really, I think you're thrown off by the high waist string of the thong she's wearing but push them up much higher and they'll appear store bought.
Thank you EPS..
*grin* No ink... just pencil. I like my pencils to appear as close to ink as possible to challenge myself...

Sanctus I didn't tell you how great I thought your sketches are. You've got major skills. Damn, I wish I could sketch like that. would make things SOOO much easier sometimes.
it's hard for me to do much of anything with pen and paper anymore because my hand cramps up so quickly. after about ten minutes my wrist feels like it's on fire and my arm starts going numb. i hate it. so i have to stop and come back later. i can't even write a letter by hand anymore. with the wacom tablet it's not so bad. i still have to stop every so often tho.
Thanks for the kind words EPS, wolfie.
Xng, you should ask some other people that sell their stuff at the fair you're talking about to see how they go about it. i think it really depends on how much time and emotion you put into it, and how partial you are to your work. an old friend of mine use to sell some of her paintings in a gallery up in baltimore. but she was approached by the gallery owner. they each sold for several hundred, but i don't think she still does it because she was always rather embarrassed by her work. I always thought it was beautiful and moving but she didn't take compliments very well. even tho she loved to paint.
