Yeah, just lost $22,000 on a deal that fell through. The same deal last year made me $18,000. This means all my charity work comes to a halt. It sucks to be me sometimes. At least I am not dead.

Still, I'd imagine that you're wise enough to put money on a deal that you can't afford to lose, so you and your family will be all right till you can get this sorted out.

Oh yeah, my family and I are all right, no problem there. Thanks for putting things in perspective. As long as I have my family and health then life is good.

But it sure as hell will cramp my style. No concerts/clothes/CDs for a while.

I hate renting movies. I just rented Monty Python and the Holy Grail and it is so scratched that it refuses to play.

I feel so ripped off, and pissed because I was so looking forward to seeing it.

Rant over

Take it back to the store and complain. They should give you refund or a different copy, free of charge.

Speaking of Monty Python's Holy Grail, I hate how EVERYBODY has seen that movie, and no one outside of the UK has seen any of the other movies or the television series, which I often think are far superior. I narrow my eyes at you!

Why must I be so distractible? I have irritating amounts of assignment to do, but I can't focus to save my life.

I'm also thinking of going to see a doctor cuz I've been constantly tired for basically the past two weeks, despite getting decent amounts of sleep.

So this is what goes on when I'm not around...

Come on, was I that profound?

Besides, do you think I would have asked to see you again if I thought you were an ass or as much of an idiot as you say you were?

Anyway. This is not meant for public discourse so PM or email me.

I was going to rant about how I can't go to sleep when I have to get up in 6 hours for work, but after reading the previous post, I guess I really don't have much to rant about. In fact I should be very thankful I am healthy.

shitshitshit!!

Great, I need to pay out 500$ to do repairs to my car. I need a new fan clutch, new rear brakes, rear brake lines, rear brake cylinders, new rear axle seals, oil sender and new rear bearings. Fuck. Well, everything is original in that car, so they lasted 34 years. Not too bad.

SHIT, Trooper, 34 years? Damn... wish they still made things that last that long... Stupid bloody disposable society....

The bulb on the projector in the studio is burnt out, so it won't be working until Monday at the earliest. I'm gonna try using a flash light with it tomorrow.
I'm already behind enough on this painting as it is. HRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!

Sometimes I love my job but the extra shit that comes with it (i.e. the emotional investment and the fact that I can make a big difference) can really bite. Tonight there was a public hearing that I spoke at and now I have to go to a lunch meeting that could potentially save the county $15-20 million so even though I had other plans (which I was really looking forward to) I can't really say no. So now from 11:30-1:30 I will be at lunch talking to the head of a citizens' group who have the potential to drastically cut down the school budget (which is way fluffed up with a bunch of useless shit that costs tons of money) if I can convince this guy that this one part (that if the School Board gets their way will cost about $17.5 mill) does nothing at all for the quality of education then maybe these people will take a close look at the budget and hold the School Board accountable for the money they want instead of blindly following what the School Board says and pressuring the county to give even more money to the schools (schools are already 80% of the county budget)

Thanks doll, it should go well as it really only involves me telling him how something works, and by works I mean sits there and doesn't get used because it sucks (we have them at school and most people in Loudoun have no experience with them).

Be careful what you ask them to cut. My local school board is trying to cut the JROTC program completely. The problem is the JROTC already gets very little funding and provides over half the scholarships the school receives.
